[Review] Iceland Chicken Stew and Dumplings £1 meal

The Iceland Chicken Stew and Dumplings for £1 was quite nice especially carrot, gravy as well as the dumplings, however the chicken was a bit dry for me.

[Review] Iceland Toad in the Hole £1 meal

I have been trying out Iceland £1 meals because they look legit but then frozen meals cost around £1-4 depending on portion size and ingredients.

Iceland's Toad in the Hole needed the oven so didn't try it until recently.

Basically, it is quite a big piece of Yorkshire so it is quite filling and gravy is definitely needed for that extra delicious factor.

When it was done, I was too lazy to make gravy even though gravy these days are instant by just adding water.
I had the Toad in the Hole with plum chutney which complemented it nicely and the pork sausages were as good as I expected.

[Review] Tescos 65p Frozen meals

There are so many frozen meals available and the cheapest ones around cost £1.
I was at Tescos when I spotted the Tescos 65p Frozen meals, there were three different ones to choose from:

Spaghetti bolognese:
Cheese and Tomato Pasta (Penne):
Chicken Curry with rice:

The spaghetti bolognese and curry were my picks so decided to get the chicken curry.

The chicken curry with rice is chicken breast pieces smothered in a creamy coconut curry sauce served up with rice.

There was a lovely smelly of curry when it was heated.
As stated, there were a decent amount of chunky chicken breast found in the curry and lots of curry sauce to go with the rice and chicken.
The colour of the curry and presentation was just like the product shot.

Overall the curry and chicken was quite good but the rice let it down because it was quite hard so the spaghetti bolognese would probably be a better pick.

For 65p, it would definitely a good deal.
Other frozen meals that cost 65p by Hearty Food Co.

[Review] Iceland's Meal for One Macaroni Cheese

Since Iceland have a good range of frozen meals for a pound, decided to try them and see how they fared.
Previously tried the Iceland Beef Filled Yorkshire Pudding 320g which was fantastic.

Tried  Iceland's Meal for One Macaroni Cheese which came in a basic packaging.
Basically it is cooked macaroni in a cheese sauce topped with cheddar cheese.

The red cheddar can be seen beneath the film.

After it was heated in the microwave, the smell of cheese was a bit too sickly but when it cooled down it was all good.
The macaroni was in this thick cheesy sauce which was not too overwhelming and the saltiness was just right.
So overall, not bad and much better than the canned versions of macaroni which can be too soft and bland.

[Review] Iceland Beef Filled Yorkshire Pudding 320g

Iceland offers a good range of instant meals for a pound so I thought it would be good to try them and see how they fare.
Tried the Iceland Beef Filled Yorkshire Pudding 320g which involves more steps than other meals that require just the oven or microwave.

First you have to put the Yorkshire in the oven while the filling is heated separately in the microwave or boiled in a bag.

Despite the extra steps, the beef filled Yorkshire pudding tasted so good that I would definitely get it again.
The Yorkshire was crisp like how it should be with a slightly soft base while the gravy was moreish accompanied by the peas and baby carrots.

As for the beef, it was thinly sliced beef like the stuff you get in school dinners so it was comforting.
