Tescos Toffee Meringues review

After trying a really good meringue from M&S, I decided to try the Tesco version for comparison.
It was too sweet for my liking from the chocolate to the toffee cream.
The only thing I liked was the fluffy meringue in the middle that was baked properly.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Toffee Meringues

I am not a fan of meringues but toffee meringues were a bit different so got them from M&S.
They were actually quite nice with a layer of dark chocolate in the middle with thick toffee flavoured cream.
The texture of the meringues were light and crumbly with a soft centre in the middle of the meringue.
Overall a lovely sweet treat with a cup of tea.

Casino ile flottante - Floating island

A floating island is a French dessert consisting of meringue floating on crème anglaise (a vanilla custard). The meringues are prepared from whipped egg whites, sugar and vanilla extract then quickly poached. The crème anglaise is prepared with the egg yolks, vanilla, and hot milk, briefly cooked.

Casino had this dessert and it was ready to eat as well!
This is the first time I have seen moist egg whites as a packaged dessert.

Basically it was egg white on top of vanilla cream, there was a sachet of syrup/caramel sauce but I did not need it because the dessert was sweet enough already.

The egg whites were nice and foamy and went well with the vanilla cream which was nice and runny.

Häagen-Dazs Secret Sensations meringue & raspberry fondant

Previously tried the Häagen-Dazs Secret Sensations creme brulee and the Häagen-Dazs Secret Sensations chocolate fondant.
This time they had Häagen-Dazs Secret Sensations meringue & raspberry fondant so tried it as well.

Basically it is vanilla ice-cream with pieces of meringue in it and the centre is liquid raspberry jam/syrup.

When I tried it, it just tasted like Walls Raspberry ripple with pieces of crispy meringue in it.

McCafe: Argentina

The McDonalds in Argentina was boring to me, but their McCafe had a better selection for cakes.
