[Review] Rolo Dessert Pots

These days many confectioneries are turned into desserts or ice creams which makes the experience even more indulgent.

This year Barratt sweets have come up with flumps ice cream lolly as well as dib dab ice lollies.

Rolo Dessert pots have been around for many years and still taste ridiculously good.

If you have tried the chocolate version, it is basically chewy toffee in chocolate.

The dessert version is similar with toffee creme at the bottom and chocolate on top and the taste is so decadent and satisfying as a dessert.

As well as rolo, there are many other confectionery desserts that have been around for decades which I will review later.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Toffee Meringues

I am not a fan of meringues but toffee meringues were a bit different so got them from M&S.
They were actually quite nice with a layer of dark chocolate in the middle with thick toffee flavoured cream.
The texture of the meringues were light and crumbly with a soft centre in the middle of the meringue.
Overall a lovely sweet treat with a cup of tea.

[Review] M&S Sticky Toffee Sponge Roll

I love Swiss rolls and anything with toffee so the Sticky Toffee Sponge Roll seemed like a good combination.
The description had dates which I wasn't keen on as sticky toffee should be sweet enough.
Anyway, the roll was quite firm coated in some sugar.
It was delicious to eat and luckily the taste of the dates were not strong.
I did find it a bit sweet so it was fantastic with apple puree and custard as the roll was a bit dry.

To try: Banoffee curd by Baxters

Toffee and bananas are the perfect flavour combination and they complement the smooth and velvety texture of this truly fantastic Banoffee Curd recipe. It’s yet another unique taste sensation from the Audrey Baxter Signature range with an unexpected twist. A delicious addition to ice cream sundaes and warm pancakes straight from the griddle.
