Asda smooth chicken & bacon pate

I love pate so this one definitely caught my eye because of the bacon as well as this brussels sprout pate which only had the price label on the shelf as there were none left.
I am one of these weird people who loves the top surface of the pate where it is brown and forms a skin and beneath that you have that lovely velvety pate.
The taste of this pate was creamy and somewhat like Shippams potted ham/chicken paste with some smokyness.
I would have liked some alcohol in it to balance the heaviness as it was a bit waxy and lardy which keeps you from spreading too much.
Adding something spicy might help but I think some Madeira wine would definitely up the game like regular pate.

ASDA Festive Pumpkin Spice Latte

Tried this ages ago and I believe I forgot to post it.
Overall it was really nice and you can taste the cinnamon.
Being the latte, it was not that strong on coffee which is great for people who don't drink coffee.
Also managed to try the prototype which I strongly disliked because the coffee was way too strong and bitter that none of the others came through.
I haven't posted the prototype but the labelling is printed paper and stuck around the tin.

ASDA Miso & Cornish sea salt flavoured West country butter

In Asia, there is soy sauce and fermented tofu which revolves around soybeans while in the West, there is marmite which is made with yeast.
Recently, we've seen Miso appear in Sainsbury's cookies just like salted caramel and now in butter at Asda which makes sense.
The inclusion of miso matched my expectations of it tasting similar to Marmite butter but it was mild and not as abrupt and salty.
Overall, it makes a nice subtle change to salted butter and has a lovely caramel colour from the miso.

ASDA Santa's Belt Donut

I was going to buy this yesterday but put it down because I could imagine how it would taste.
In the end I got it the next day since I have already wasted money on some stuff that didn't taste good so it wouldn't hurt to buy something that cost less.
Basically, Santa's belt is a huge, long donut sliced horizontally filled with cream with jam on the top looking like an eclair.
Although it looks big, I felt that it was like two cream donuts made into one because I already ate half the belt.
Overall, it tasted how I imagined it to be as it was the same as the regular asda cream donuts but presented in a different way.
At the base of the donut edges, there is weirdly some chocolate sauce that keeps the donut in place which does make it slightly tastier with some chocolate.

Dressed King Prawns with Marie rose dip by Amazon Fresh

Out of all the food choices at Amazon Fresh supermarket, I decided to get this because it was easy to eat with a fork on the go.
Tried the prawns on their own without sauce and they were really tasty because of the parsley, black pepper and coriander.
The herbs on it were flavourful enough that it didn't really need the dip but having the dip was a good option.
Somehow, this item did not show up on my friends bill!!!
At the store, you could literally get anything from biscuits to plant based foods.
The Amazon Fresh store works by you walking in and walking out with the goods without going through a till or self checkout.
A bill will be sent to you about an hour later on what you've bought (ie taken out the store).
There are sensors on the ceiling to detect what was taken.

Aldi Cherry bakewell sponge pudding

Nothing Cherry bakewell escapes from me so when I saw this at Aldi, I had to get it.
Overall, it was quite a nice pudding, but the sponge was a little bit too sweet and the texture was little too soft and oily.
Definitely perfect some custard.

M&S Chocolate & Hazelnut mince lies

Spotted these Chocolate & Hazelnut mince lies a few weeks ago on social media and I just couldn't wait to get my hands on them.
They are priced at £10 on ocado which seemed quite pricey but then they are meant for dessert.
These are not porky pies but mince lies.
So how do these mince pies fare with porky pies.
I'm not going to tell a porky pie but couldn't taste any hazelnuts.
It was just a rich chocolate cup with a crispy base topped with a quality chocolate runny ganache and a star shaped chocolate.
The hazelnut flavour was missing so unfortunately I now have three to finish.
