Twinings tea shop and Vanilla tea review

Finally gave the Twinings tea shop a visit.
I was amazed by the variety as there is Hot Chocolate, Matcha powder, Coffee beans, fancy teas which you won't find at the supermarkets, tea pots and cups etc.
All at affordable prices.
There is a tea tasting section at the far end of the shop.
I ended up getting the Vanilla black tea which is not often seen at the shops.
The Twinings vanilla tea had a lovely sweet notes with a sweet taste.
Adding milk and sugar makes it more indulgent.

Lidl Italiamo Pistachio yoghurt and Pistachios covered in milk chocolate

I love pistachio so when Lidl has these pistachios covered in milk chocolate and Pistachio yoghurt I had to get them both.

Pistachio yoghurt with dark chocolate & hazelnut sauce.
There were only two pots left so I grabbed one to try.
The top layer is obviously pistachio yoghurt so tried it first before mixing the bottom layer.
The pistachio yoghurt layer was quite nice and tart but there was some sweetness coming through.
I wouldn't say the pistachio is strong but the yoghurt is quite tart which goes well with the chocolate hazelnut sauce at the bottom but the only problem was the chocolate hazelnut taste was really prominent that when you mix it, the pistachio flavour is totally gone.
The chocolate hazelnut sauce at the bottom was quite watery.

Chocolate covered pistachios.
Having missed these chocolate covered pistachios on the last Italian round I had to get them.
To be honest, I was a bit disappointed with them because all you can taste is the sweetness but not much of the chocolate hence dark chocolate would have been better.
I would say it is similar to chocolate covered peanuts eg sweet and savoury but more savoury as they are pistachios

Tesco Tuscan style Nduja & Tomato, Olive and basil quiche / Tomato & Mozzarella [Summer edition]

I was really excited to discover these summer edition quiches at Tescos which are so different to traditional flavours yet you can see them working especially the tesco finest ones.
The Tuscan style Nduja quiche was really flavourful with the spicy sausage and fennel while the tomato olive was really tasty with the olives.
To be honest, they are quiche tarts because the filling is shallow and these quiches are about the size of your palm.
Last but not least, the Tomato & Mozzarella took me from heaven back to earth as it was not as fancy but still nice.
It was basically like your regular tomato and cheese quiche infused with basil.

Cupp Keyk cup cakes

I love these Filipino cup cakes which comes in many flavours like chocolate, cheese, pandan, ube etc.
Strangely, I thought I had posted them but I haven't.
Anyway, all these cakes are moist and not too sweet without any of that weird alcoholic preservative kick in it.
Pandan and Ube are my favourites and chocolate is good too.

Tesco smoked Beechwood bacon and ketchup sandwich

I have always wanted to try this smoked bacon and ketchup sandwich and it did not disappoint.
The sweet ketchup was actually nice but not in an offending cloying way while the bacon was not too overly salty or fatty.
Best warmed in the microwave for 12 seconds to wake up the bread and bacon.

Tesco roasted pepper and nduja casarecce pasta - Limited Edition

I love Nduja hence tried this pasta because of the Casarecce pasta which is often found at the restaurants.
I found it quite spicy yet quite sweet at the same time because of the pepper.
The vegetables were nice because it had that grilled/charred taste to it.
