Tarwi Lummus aka houmous at IFE2022

Attended IFE2022 where I was bowled over by another houmous variant called TARWI Lummus which is made with Lupis beans hence Lummus!

Just like houmous, they also have other flavours like Beetroot, sundried tomato, regular and herbs.

The original one was really impressive however it does taste slightly different to houmous in the sense that it is more savoury than sharp.

Sampling all four flavours, Sundried tomato and the regular were my favourites followed by herb and then beetroot because it was a bit sweet for my liking.

Compared to chickpeas, Lupin beans have more fibre and protein.

Henderson's Relish at IFE 2022

Attended IFE2022 and finally got to try some Henderson's Relish which is a nice sharp sauce similar to Worcester.

I have always wanted to try this but not many places stock it down south.

Joe & Sephs at IFE 2022 and vegan dark chocolate slab

I love Joe & Seph popcorn so I couldn't resist in trying their wonderful popcorn range at IFE2022.

There were so many flavours like the Easter range as well as apple and cinnamon and cherry bakewell.

Tried the cherry bakewell and it was truly delicous because you could smell and taste cherry bakewell.

I was also given a vegan dark chocolate slab which is basically a slab of popcorn drizzled with vegan dark chocolate.

The dark chocolate was surprisingly good and tasted like a good quality dark chocolate which took the popcorn to the next level.

The best gift sets and ideas at Kimm & Miller

I love gift sets especially when food and drinks are involved.

Festive seasons are the best because you can find so many gift sets at Boots, Primark etc.

It is always uplifting when I see gift sets that have products I can relate to!

Over the festive period, I discovered that so many gift sets are by Kimm & Miller especially my favourite Marmite, pot noodles, coco pops, Tabasco sauce etc.

It must be so fun to work there with all these lovely things.

I managed to get some goodies from Kimm & Miller which can all be found on Amazon.

Saving my favourite Marmite last, I started with the Mocha sugar free syrup which worked really well on black coffee.

For Mother's day the mug and hot sauces were both equally good.

The hot sauces were moreish and the design is really nice.

The mug cake was really easy to execute and it tasted as good as a freshly baked cake which only took 5 minutes to make!

The gin mixers are a delight with 5 equally nice flavours: rhubarb ginger, elderflower & lemon, Rose flower & raspberry, passionfruit & pomegranite, cinammon & apple.

B Corp opens a pop-up shop with a magic vending machine

If it were not for this pop up store, I would not have known about the B Corp certification.

The B Corp certification is given to companies meeting verified high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability.

At the pop up shop, everything there is on display but not sold however there is a free of charge vending machine where you can try products that have a B Corp certification.

During, my visit, I was really lucky to get my hands on some Vegan ice cream by Jude's Ice cream as well as coconut water by VITACOCO.

The vending machine was wonderful as I got to sample Proper Chips which are lentil based, DASH water, LioBites, Fellow Creatures and Tony's Choco Lonely!

M&S Cocktail Blinis

I love blinis because they are basically mini savoury pancakes.

They taste great when they are warmed in the microwave for 15 seconds.

Adding some marmite butter takes them to the next level when you don't have any fancy items to garnish it.

Taiwan Impress Tea

I love tea especially green tea with quality tea leaves.

The Taiwanese Impress tea is another good one which is strong and aromatic.

When you steep the tea leaves, they all open up and release the flavour.
