[Review] Special chow mein from China Garden in New Addington
I am not a regular here because I am currently trying to try all the takeaways in UK.
The special chow mein here is actually quite good, the noodles are not that oily and it is colourful with green peas.
With some takeaways, you get a bit bloated after eating half a portion but I was able to finish the whole box and it didn't need any extra sauce.
[Review] Singapore noodles and curry sauce from New China Dragon
I am not a regular here but I enjoy trying out every different Chinese takeaway in UK because I like to see the differences.
Some takeaways use thin noodles and some use thick for the chowmein.
The food at New China Dragon was comforting because the Singapore noodles and curry sauce tasted similar to a Chinese takeaway in the South East.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Katsu Curry Sauce
A while ago I tried some Katsu curry sauce from Sam's chicken which was rather acidic and vinegary so I decided to try the M&S version for comparison.
Before using it to cook, I tried a bit of the curry sauce and it was nice and fiery with a hint of ginger and sweetness.

I added fresh chestnuts that I had foraged earlier with Quorn and they the curry tasted really nice.
[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Rainbow Chards
I love Swiss Chards (white) as well as Rainbow chards because they are large and leafy like spinach, yet the stalks are colourful and sweet a bit like beetroots.
My favourite way of cooking them is having them sauteed in olive oil with chili or fermented black beans with chili.
Or simply blanch them and they are sweet and delicious.
The Swiss chards were so delicious that I bought then again.
[Review] Sainsbury's Fresh Salad Cress
I love cress so often buy these cress pots from Sainsburys but after reading the reviews it explains why it sometimes taste different but overall ok.
[Review] J. James & Family ham / chicken slices and unsmoked bacon review
Randomly got the J. James ham from the supermarket because it was cheap and it looks like you get a whole wad in the box.
The ham was ok, it wasn't particular memorable or delicious but later I found some chicken slices in the fridge by J.James as well.
Overall, it is good for value but not memorable in terms of taste.
Also tried the unsmoked bacon because they were only 89p at Sainsburys to match Aldi's price.

On their own, the bacon was really salty but it was fine in a bacon consomme.
