[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Cooked Cockles

I love Cockles and Marks and Spencers Cooked Cockles are a Godsend.
They are cooked and come in a tub dressed in vinaigrette and parsley which is light hence it is versatile and allows you to add further seasoning if required.
The quality of these cockles really impressed me because they were grit free and were fresh as it has been difficult buying grit free cockles.
Anyway, the cockles were simply delicious with salt and vinegar as well as being served with laverbread.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Ham & Cheese Crustless Quiche

I got the Marks and Spencers Ham & Cheese Crustless Quiche because I haven't tried it.
It is interesting that they only have one crustless quiche in the range.
According to the box it contains sweetcure ham, mature cheddar and red Leicester.
The crustless quiche was actually really nice because without the crust you get more of the filling and the red Leicester gives it a sharp aftertaste.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Fresh Dill

I love dill so got Marks and Spencers Fresh Dill where you get quite a fair bit in the bag!
When you open the bag, there is a lovely smell so a small amount gives you the taste and aroma.
Since it goes well with fish I garnished my seabass guabao with it and the flavours of the dill really comes out in each bite.

[Review] Nando's Peri-Peri Sauce Coconut & Lemon

Spotted the Nando's Peri-Peri Coconut & Lemon Sauce at Poundland so how could I not get it as it retails for more than 2 pounds at ASDA!
According to the labelling: Opposites attract, so we've added a dash of creamy coconut milk to our Peri-Peri sauce to create a unique Mozambican flavour - with a zesty twist of lemon, a hint of garlic, and of course, our Peri-Peri chillies.

Before using it, I tried it on its own and it was very punchy with a refreshing tart taste hence it is good on chicken and fish etc.

Tried it on chicken and it tasted good as expected and I also used it on fish which made it taste moreish so I definitely recommend this because the sauce is so good that you end up using a lot!

Ingredients
Water, Vinegar, Coconut Milk (Coconut Extract, Water, Thickeners (Guar Gum, Xanthan Gum, Carrageenan)) (19%), Sugar, Onion Puree, Salt, Lemon (Juice and Puree) (5%), Spices (African Bird's Eye Chilli, Red Bell Pepper, Green Chilli), Sunflower Seed Oil, Garlic Puree, Thickener (Xanthan Gum), Anti-Oxidant (Ascorbic Acid), Rosemary Extract

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Salted Caramel Cream

After trying the Pink Gin cream from M&S, I didn't hesitate to get the Salted Caramel cream.
Words can't describe how good this was, it was thick with a gentle but prominent sweet caramel taste balanced by the Vodka.
It was thick and versatile that it took so many things to the next level like scones, putting it on some soft baked malteser cookies, red velvet cake and even on top of M&S sticky toffee pudding!!
Overall, I would definitely recommend this as well as the pink gin cream, however I would say the pink gin cream has a stronger alcoholic kick while the salted caramel has a balanced sweet and alcoholic taste.

[Review] Charlie Bigham's Steak & Ale Pie

While I was at Waitrose, I discovered Charlie Bigham's Steak & Ale Pie because of the stylish box it was in.
It had a flip lid with an intro about their pies and the illustration was nice like a story book.
Anyway, decided to give them a go and got two because as a foodie, I didn't fancy sharing it.

The pastry was light and flakey when it was baked.

You could literally hear the pastry crack when I put my fork in it and the gravy simply flowed out and I didn't expect that which was a big surprise!
Listen to the video with sound on!!

As well as the top notch pastry, the filling was amazing especially the pieces of steak which are lean and tender.
The amount gravy inside was another wow factor!

Will definitely try their other pies soon.

[Review] Cornetto Mermaid Raspberry & Matcha Ice Cream Cone

I was captivated by the new Cornetto Mermaid Raspberry & Matcha Ice Cream Cone at Tescos for 1.55 so I got it.
[Update July 31/07/2020 you can also get these at Poundland now and I was so chuffed Poundland on Instagram reposted one of my pictures]
The ice cream cone is wrapped in a holographic pink and blue wrapper which is designed to look like mermaid scales.
To be honest, it did not look holographic.

Cornetto Mermaid Raspberry & Matcha Ice Cream Cone

According to the internet , there are two versions, the one featured on Cornetto's website is Raspberry & Vanilla while the one at Tesco is Raspberry & Matcha.

The one I got was the Raspberry & Matcha.
First impressions, the candies were a bit too big and looked out of proportion according to the picture and the silver candy balls were white and not silver.

As for the taste, it was interesting because the raspberry and matcha were prominent independently so sometimes you would taste the raspberry and sometimes the bitterness of the matcha.
