Sainsburys Broccoli & Tomato quiche review

The Tomato broccoli quiche from Sainsburys looks the part but it was a bit bland.
I was expecting a nice tangy tomato flavour from the layer of tomato puree at the bottom of the quiche but it didn't seem so.
Rating: 3/5

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Quiche Selection

I love the quiches at M&S so this time I got the quiche selection.
The selection contains three quiche Lorraine wedges, three bacon, leek and Portobello mushroom wedges and three cheese & onion wedges.
You get a variety but I thought the choices like Lorraine and cheese and onion were a bit too basic as you can already get it in the regular quiche range.
The only one that you can't get in the regular range is the bacon, leek and portobello mushroom which was the reason I tried the selection.
The bacon, leek and mushroom quiche was quite nice but I think I will stick with the regular quiches.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Classic Caramelised Onion & Soignon Goat's Cheese Tartlets

A while ago I tried Morrisons goats cheese tart so decided to try Marks and Spencers Classic Caramelised Onion & Soignon Goat's Cheese Tartlets for a comparison.
The puff pastry for this was light and beautiful and it was topped with two generous slices of Soignon Goat's Cheese and Caramelised onions.
However I found it a bit too sweet because of the onions but overall not bad.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Hand Finished Cheddar, Emmental & Caramelized Shallot Quiche

The Hand finished quiche at M&S takes their quiches to the next level.
A while ago I tried the Hand Finished chorizo and pepper quiche which was amazing so this time tried the Cheddar, Emmental & Caramelized Shallot Quiche which is basically a jazzed up cheese and onion quiche with the use of caramelized shallots and Emmental.
The taste of this quiche was delicious as expected and the carmelized shallots gave it that extra sweetness to go with the cheesyness.
Overall, another delicious quiche option.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Ham & Cheese Crustless Quiche

I got the Marks and Spencers Ham & Cheese Crustless Quiche because I haven't tried it.
It is interesting that they only have one crustless quiche in the range.
According to the box it contains sweetcure ham, mature cheddar and red Leicester.
The crustless quiche was actually really nice because without the crust you get more of the filling and the red Leicester gives it a sharp aftertaste.

[Review] Sainsburys Taste the Difference Quiche Lorraine with Taw Valley Cheddar and Maple Cured Bacon

The Sainsburys Taste the Difference Quiche selection is quite good but I think I made the wrong decision to get the Quiche Lorraine.
Visually it didn't look nice because the maple cured bacon was fat.
The cheesy egg custard tasted excellent but the thing that let it downs were pieces of squidgy fat in the quiche which is the last thing I wanted as I don't like fatty things.
As for the pastry, it didn't quite taste right because you could still taste the flour.
Overall, I don't recommend this but I do recommend their other quiche choices.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Mushroom and Spinach Quiche

The Marks and Spencers Mushroom and Spinach Quiche is a popular seller hence you will only find one or two at the store which means it is GOOD!!!
Visually you can see the quiche is very dark as it is crammed with lots of mushrooms.
This is definitely my favourite quiche so far from M&S especially if you love mushrooms.
The mushrooms were chunky, juicy and earthy.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Made without wheat Gluten Free Quiche Lorraine

Tried the regular quiches at Marks and Spencer so this time tried the Marks and Spencers Made without wheat Gluten Free Quiche Lorraine.
The quiche tasted just as good as the regular Quiche Lorraine but the quiche pastry was more delicate and crumbles easily.

Personally, I don't have any gluten restrictions but definitely recommended it.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Quiche Lorraine

I love quiche so didn't hesitate to get the Marks and Spencers Quiche Lorraine.
The bacon was trimmed so they were lean and there were generous amounts of it in the quiche.
As for the taste, it was flawless just like their other quiches.
Next time I get the mushroom quiche.

[Review] Morrisons Chilli & Cheese Quiche

A while ago tried the Cheese and Onion quiche from Morrisons which was ok so tried something fancier this time!
I got the mini Morrisons Chilli & Cheese Quiche which is good enough for one.
The spiciness of the chilli is really hot so be warned.
Overall worth trying if chilli is your thing but you can't really taste the cheese in it.

[Review] Morrisons Cheese & Onion Quiche

Tried Morrisons Cheese & Onion Quiche because it was reduced.
The filling was not as smooth as M&S but it was still good however the red Leicester cheese didn't seem to melt even though the quiche was hot.
You can literally see the grated red leicester throughout the quiche.
Anyway, I liked the way it had dijon mustard which made it moreish.
As for the shortcrust pastry it could have been crumblier.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Hand Finished Chorizo, Pepper & Tomato Quiche

The basic quiche range at Marks and Spencers is pretty good and in addition to that there is a hand finished series.
This time I got the Hand Finished Chorizo, Pepper & Tomato Quiche to see how it fared.
As a non fan of chorizo I was pretty impressed because this quiche has strong flavours coming from the sundried tomatoes and peppers while the chorizo gave a nice and smoky kick.
Compared to the regular quiches in their range, I would say the ratio of egg custard and ingredients are different.
With the basic range, there is more egg custard but for the hand finished range there is less egg custard so the ingredients are more prominent.
I liked the way the chorizo was diced and not sliced like the ones you find on pizza.
Overall, I was impressed.
