[Review] M&S Marks and Spencer Chicken Tikka Samosa

When I spotted the Marks and Spencer Chicken Tikka Samosa in the sandwich section chiller I had to try it because it gets sold out fast.
The samosa is a combination of popular chicken tikka made into a samosa with potato, peas and onion.
Basically it was a match made in heaven, each bite was filled with delicious chicken tikka that was not too overpowering complemented by the delicious pieces of potatoes, peas and onions.
They also have the plain vegetable samosa but the chicken was so good that I don't thing a samosa will the the same again!

[Review] Sainsburys Vintage Cheese & Butter Muffins, Taste the Difference

Decided to get some muffins and spotted the Vintage Cheese & Butter Muffins, Taste the Difference ones at Sainsburys.
When I opened the packet, there was a faint cheese smell, after toasting them there was not much cheesy taste at all.
Compared to other brands, these muffins were rather thin which is good if you are on a diet or not wanting to be too full from a muffin.
Overall, the muffins were ok but not cheesy!

[Review] Sainsburys Cherry Scones

I was actually going to get some plains scones when I spotted the cherry scones so got them.
There were quite a few packs on the shelves which looked knobbly and irregular so the pack I chose had at least two scones with visible cherries.
It turned out that only two scones had a whole glacier cherry, one was dark and one was bright red.
The other two had crushed cherries but the colour of the cherries were odd.

Anyway, the taste and texture of the scones were ok but there was a strange astringent feeling in the mouth after eating these scones.

[Review] Sainsbury Plain Scones

As I had some clotted cream in the fridge I got the plain scones from Sainsburys.
The scones were knobbly and irregular like the rest on the shelf.

Anyway, the taste and texture of the scones were ok but there was a strange astringent feeling in the mouth after eating these scones.

[Review] Sainsburys Taste the Difference French Onion Soup with Gruyere

French Onion Soup with Gruyere is a soup that I would have at restaurants but since Sainsburys had it I decided to give it a try.
Out of all the soups I have tried from the supermarket, this one is slightly different in the sense that it is not blended with cream.

Anyway, after heating it in the microwave the soup looked promising.

The taste of this soup was as good as the restaurants but it was a bit different as there was cider in it which gave it an alcoholic kick with a hint of bitterness followed by the sweetness of the onions.
There was quite a fair amount of caramelized onions and there was gruyere cheese as well which turned out a bit chewy.
Overall I liked it and it was comforting having restaurant style soups at home.

[Review] Morrisons Cheese & Onion Rolls

I love cheese and onions so tried Morrisons Cheese & Onion Rolls.
The Cheese & Onion Rolls were much nicer than anticipated because the pastry was light and the filling was nice and cheesy.
Compared to M&S cheese and onions rolls, Morrisons is more cheesy and does not contain potatoes.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Collection Strawberry Clotted Cream

I love clotted cream with scones so when the M&S launched the Collection Strawberry Clotted Cream I just had to get it.
There is already a debate on this clotted cream for those who are arguing whether clotted cream or jam come first.
For me, I adore clotted cream so much that I can eat it with a spoon or just have scones with plain clotted cream.

As you as you peel the lid back there is a strong smell of strawberries coming out.
You can feel the strawberry seeds crunch in your mouth.
It is slightly sweet but you still have the full on taste of the heavenly clotted cream.

I recommend trying a spoon of this clotted cream on its own to experience the taste and pairing it with plain scones for that full on strawberry clotted cream taste.

Overall, I was really impressed with this clotted cream and hope they come out with other flavours in the future.
