[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Kefir Raspberry

I have not tried Kefir before so got the Marks and Spencers Kefir Raspberry to try.
As well as raspberry, there is a plain one.

According to Wiki:
Kefir is a fermented milk drink similar to a thin yogurt that is made from kefir grains, a specific type of mesophilic symbiotic culture. The drink originated in the North Caucasus, Eastern Europe and Russia,[3] where it is prepared by inoculating cow, goat, or sheep milk with kefir grains.

The raspberry Kefir was pinkish in colour and the consistency was slightly thick yet a bit runny.

As for the taste, it was really sour with a raspberry kick to it yet the sourness is different to Greek yoghurt.
I think would go well with a slice of cake to balance the sourness of the yoghurt!

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers 4 Mini Pork Pies Topped with Ploughman's Pickle

I am so glad I tried these pork pies topped with Ploughman's pickle chutney because it takes the boring pork pies to the next level.
I couldn't quite taste the cheese but the sweetness of the chutney was quite nice and you can taste the pepper and onions in the pork filling.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Made without wheat Gluten Free Cod Fishcakes

I love fishcakes so this time tried Marks and Spencers Made without wheat Gluten Free Cod Fishcakes.

The coating was crisp and the filling was just how you would expect a cod fishcake to be with silky potato mash and bits of cod flavoured by the parsley and bay leaves.

According to the label, there is also fish stock to flavour it.

Other fishcakes I have tried at M&S:
Salmon Fishcake

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Stir Fry Rice

I happened to get two packs of the Marks and Spencers Stir Fry Rice.
The first pack I simply microwaved it to see how the rice tastes without anything.
For some reason I just didn't like it and the texture was strange.
It is supposed to have spring onions and soy sauce seasoning in it already but it was very mild.
The second pack I cooked it on a pan, again it didn't help, the taste and texture was just not to my liking which is interesting because the other rice in Marks and Spencers usually taste good especially the Indian Rices.

[Review] Morrisons Cheese & Onion Quiche

Tried Morrisons Cheese & Onion Quiche because it was reduced.
The filling was not as smooth as M&S but it was still good however the red Leicester cheese didn't seem to melt even though the quiche was hot.
You can literally see the grated red leicester throughout the quiche.
Anyway, I liked the way it had dijon mustard which made it moreish.
As for the shortcrust pastry it could have been crumblier.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Count on US Lemon Mousse

I have never counted the calories I eat but since I was in the mood for some mousse I got the Marks and Spencers Count on US Lemon Mousse as I have already tried the chocolate mousse.
Interestingly the Lemon mousse has 97 calories per pot, more than the chocolate mousse but then I am not the least surprised because it contains real lemon juice so I would expect more sugar is needed to balance out the tartness of the lemon.

To be honest, it tasted refreshing yet you could also taste the sugar in it.
It was nice overall but somehow I prefer chocolate as getting through four pots of lemon can be quite boring but easier to get through 4 pots of chocolate.

[Review] Morrisons Granola Cookies with mixed fruit, sour cherries, seeds and honey

Spotted the granola cookies at Morrisons.
I knew I was going to like them because these cookies had a flapjack base with mixed fruit, sour cherries, seeds and honey.
The cookies were chewy and loaded with dried fruits especially my favourite sour cherries hence they easily impressed my tastebuds.
