[Review] Mr Kiplings Toffee Apple Slices

After trying Mr Kiplings Marshmallow Slices, I was tempted by the toffee apple which were also appealing.
They were not too sweet with a nice apple aroma in the cake complemented by toffee icing on top.

[Review] Mr Kiplings Marshmallow Slices

Mr Kiplings Marshmallow Slices appealed to me because of the Marshmallow even though you couldn't really see the marshmallow filling.
As expected the filling wasn't a bit like marshmallow but the chocolate cake part was delicious as it had a strong cocoa taste without being too sweet.
The individual boxes gives it a plus in the sense that you don't have to finish them all at once.

Zero Waste Eastbourne

Being green and organic is the trend these day.
Zero Waste is minimum waste in terms of recycling, reduction in packaging so that a goal of no trash can be achieved.

Zero Waste shops are popping all over world and Eastbourne now has a Zero Waste shop on South Street.

Went in randomly and got some cocoa nibs which are great toppings for yoghurts.

Overall a nice concept but I felt that more labeling is required to provide information such as expiry date or best before etc for consumables.

[Review] Aunt Bessies Jam Roly Poly

Jam Roly Polys are a classic school dinner dessert served in custard.
Tried Aunt Bessies Jam Roly Poly which was microwaved and served in custard.
There was a nice jam aroma after it was microwaved and the top was crisp as it should be.
The only let down was the jam as it was way too sweet.
As well as Jam, there was a Salted caramel Roly Poly by Aunt Bessies.

Halo Top Platinum Series giveaway at the Bank of Halo

I was really lucky I was in Shoreditch as the US Ice Cream brand Halo Top had a pop-up in the form of a bank with a glittery vault at the back where you get the ice cream.
The video has more details:

There is an ATM on the left, some silver spoons on chains with a glitter stand just like those pen on chains at the bank.

At the back was a huge fault with a silver glitter door where you get your ice cream.

They were giving away Halo Top Platinum series which are low in calories.
The choices were Space Candy, Monster Cookie and Triple Chocolate Cake and the sticks come in Vanilla Crunch, Salted Caramel Swirl and Cookies & Cream.

If you try the tubs, you get to use the ATM machine on the way out which is actually a fun Automatic Topper Machine!!!
I chose the Space Candy which is pink and blue candy floss ice cream swirled with a meteor shower of popping candy pieces.

It was topped with further pearlescent candy at the ATM which sadly I forgot to take a picture of.

Overall, the ice-cream was tasty and not too sweet.
Knowing how much calories makes you feel less guilty.

[Review] ASDA Victoria Sponge Flavour Milkshake

ASDA has launched four milkshakes which are all flavoured by sweet desserts!!!

The four flavours are:
Victoria Sponge, Banoffee Pie, Salted Caramel Brownie and Sticky Toffee Pudding

I didn't expect them to contain any real cake as I believe they are just inspired and flavoured accordingly, although you can get some thick shakes that have bits of dough/cake in them.

It was really difficult to decide which flavours to get so I eliminated the Banoffee pie first because I don't like bananas.
Then it was down to Salted caramel brownie and sticky toffee pudding.
I selected the sticky toffee because the salted caramel brownie is basically just going to taste like chocolate with salted caramel.
As for the Victoria Sponge, I wasn't keen on this flavour because strawberry comes to mind so I would imagine it tasting like strawberry milkshake but got it as well because I am a fan of the Victoria Sponge cake.

Tried the Victoria Sponge Flavour milkshake first because the sell by date goes off earlier than the Sticky Toffee Milkshake.
The milkshake wasn't as thick as anticipated, nor was it as sweet as expected.
It just tasted like thick cream with a hint of artificial raspberry flavouring.

The Sticky Toffee Pudding Flavour Milkshake was similar in the sense it tasted like single cream with a prominent hint of toffee aroma and taste that was not too sweet.
Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture before drinking it.

[Review] Mr Kipling After Dinner Mint Fancies

Mr Kipling has done it again with another delicious treat called the After Dinner Mint Fancies.

It is a light chocolate sponge topped with a smooth mint creme enrobed in soft chocolate fondant.

Although it was quite sweet but definitely the treat to go with tea.

I loved the soft chocolate fondant coating because it goes really well with the texture of the soft cake.
The sweetest part is actually the mint creme in the middle.
Overall I was glad I tried this.
Hopefully they will come up with a blackforest Fancy with cherry creme or cherry compote.
