[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Salt & Vinegar Rice cakes

A while ago I spotted the rice cake series at M&S and I was tempted by the salted caramel as well as the sour cream.
Ended up getting the M&S Marks and Spencers Salt & Vinegar Rice cakes on this visit.
Unfortunately but fortunately I only got the snack pack because they had gone rancid and it is only the 11th of July 2020 today.

2.PM Korean rice cakes in soup

Got these delicious spicy rice cakes Thanks to 7-11 which cost $12.9 per bowl.

The shape of these rice cakes were like flat discs and the ones I tried earlier were like thick mini rods.

The broth tasted nice but the rice cakes were too chewy, maybe I should leave them for at least 10 minutes next time.

The broth was nice and colourful, it had pieces of dehydrated eggs and seaweed.

MyungDong Instant Rice Cake Soup

The rice cakes I have tried before were the Shanghainese types and it seems that the Koreans have a similar thing.

Rice cakes usually come vacumn packed or in brine.

As these are instant ones I was curious how they would be packed, it turns out they are also vacumned packed inside.
I never tried them before because Korean food is usually spicy and this one is not hence I got them to try.
The broth tasted nice but I didnt really like the ricecakes and they were too chewy and I had already put them in boiling soup for at least five minutes.
There was a slight sour taste taste to the ricecakes.
The broth was nice and colourful, it had pieces of dehydrated eggs and seaweed.
