[Review] M&S Marks Spencers Cornish Creamery Whole Milk

I have had countless desserts and drinks with Hokkaido milk dubbed as a good creamy dairy product in Asia.
Native to UK, we have dairy products from Cornwall coming from Jersey and Guersey cows produced at the famous Roddas Cornish creamery.
Ultimately, Cornish clotted cream is the best but I just had to try their milk as well hence I got a bottle from M&S.
The milk was definitely creamy and aromatic so it is going to taste good in custard and rice puddings.
I ended up using it in bread sauce, chocolate milkshake and hot chocolate milkshake.

維他奶 VitaVitasoy calci-plus series

VitaVitasoy has launched two new drinks in the calci-plus series.

The new Coconut Hi-Calcium healthy drink and Almond Hi-Calcium healthy drink are both low in sugar, cholesterol free and high in calcium.
++++++++
Almond Hi-Calcium healthy drink:
The almond is light with a lovely nutty taste and not that sweet just how it is as advertised.
It is said to be good for the skin and cardio.
++++++++
Coconut Hi-Calcium healthy drink:
The coconut is comparatively sweeter than the almond but not that sweet.
I liked it because you could taste the coconut while the taste is not too milky.
According to the carton, it is said to help in weight management.

Trappist Dairy Sweet potato Fat milk drink

I am not that keen on Sweet potato flavoured drinks because they can taste quite artificial and I think that artificial taste is like Playdoh!!!!
The sweet potato milk by Trappist dairy was not that bad and quite palatable.

Trappist Dairy Carrot Low Fat milk drink

Tried this carrot flavoured milk by 十字牌 Trappist Dairy and it was quite nice.
Luckily there was a faint aftertaste of carrot but I think it tastes like yoghurt flavoured milk.

Fun with got milk? magic straws collection!!

Thanks to Hong Kong's Octopus Inc for sending me the latest collection of got milk? straws.

There were six flavours: banana, strawberry, cookies and cream, chocolate, wild berry and orange cream.
I only managed to take one photo of the magic straws in action because it was hard taking a photo whilst drinking it.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Banana:
The banana was quite sweet with a strong vanilla taste and a hint of banana which tasted natrual.

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Strawberry:
I was expecting the strawberry taste to be strong but it was not.

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Cookies & Cream:
The taste of this was similar to the chocolate but it was not so chocolatety.
Visually it was really pretty with the contrast of white and brown in the straws.

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Wild berry:
The taste of this was interesting and reminded me of something which I can't remember!
It may have been Hubba Bubba chewing gum, but it was definitely a Western candy.

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Chocolate:
This was my favourite flavour and probably the most popular flavour because it is just fuss free simple tasting chocolate.

Here is a photo of the chocolate in action

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
I also had fun trying two different flavours together.

Here are the combinations I tried:

Strawberry and Wild berry

The combination of strawberry and wild berry resulted in a wonderful fruit of the forest flavour.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Cookies & Cream with banana:
The flavour was quite cute and tasted like banoffee pie.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Orange cream with chocolate:
Orange and chocolate always pair well resulting in delicious chocolate with tones of orange!
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
As a summary, chocolate was the best, next was the banana which was surprisingly good because it was not artificial and then orange cream.
Each magic straw is sufficient to flavour one glass of milk.

Organic Valley Milk

The packaging looked cute so thats why I brought it.

It basically tastes like the usual milk which was pleasant, but after adding some honey it tasted better.
Its website was interesting too:
Its .coop and not the usual .com!

Nissin milk seafood pot noodles

Nissin's pot noodles 48th anniversary album!!

Winter special edition with milk broth!
Usually I do not drink the soup, but since it was milk, I drank all of it.]
At the bottom there was black pepper.
The overall taste was quite soothing and not too creamy.
Anyway I am sure the Japanese would have adjusted the taste for Asian people.

London restaurant selling breast milk ice cream

London restaurant selling breast milk ice cream

New mothers looking for a bit of extra cash need to look no further than their own assets, as a London restaurant is now offering money for breast milk – to make ice-cream.
Covent Garden company, Icecreamists, has started serving 'Baby Gaga' to customers using milk donated from 15 women who responded to an online advertisement.
Pasteurised and churned together with Madagascan vanilla pods and lemon zest, the unorthodox dessert is served by a costumed Baby Gaga waitress and comes in a martini glass at £14 a dish.
Now the company is looking for more women to provide breast milk – and are giving £15 for every ten ounces that are extracted using breast pumps on site.
New mother Victoria Hiley, 35, provided the first 30 ounces of milk, and said the concept was a great "recession beater".
"What's the harm in using my assets for a bit of extra cash?" Mrs Hiley said.
"I teach women how to get started on breastfeeding their babies. There's very little support for women and every little helps."
Mrs Hiley said the ice-cream “melts in your mouth”, and added that if adults realised how tasty breast milk was it would encourage more mothers to breastfeed.
Matt O'Connor, 44, who runs Icecreamists, said he thought there had been a very positive response to the dish so far.
"No one's done anything interesting with ice cream in the last hundred years," he said.
"Some people will hear about it and go, 'yuck,' but actually it's pure, organic, free-range and totally natural."
To uphold health standards, lactating women undergo health checks the same as those run by hospitals to screen blood donors.
Another 13 women have reportedly volunteered to donate their breast milk.
