I love pot noodles so tried the Chicken Korma a while ago but somehow forgot to write it up hence the late post. With most pot noodles, it comes with a sachet of soy sauce or tomato sauce but the Chicken Korma comes with mango.
Personally I am not a fan of mango so didn't put it in the noodles.
After you put the water in, you get a nice bright yellow Korma colour and aroma.
As for the taste, it was pretty good just like a proper Korma, then as an option you can add some mango sauce.
I tried the mango sauce on its own but it was too sweet for my liking but I'm so glad I tried the chicken korma and the purple pot is nice.
Hopefully pot noodles will come up with more interesting flavours.
In 2019 I got the Pot Noodle BBQ Pulled Pork which reminded me of the pulled pork sandwiches at the stalls in London. The taste of the BBQ pulled pork was really convincing and I liked the taste of the smoky BBQ and cajun.
It appears I have already tried the Pot Noodle BBQ pork before in 2018 but the design was different back then.
I love Batchelors Super noodle pots so this time I had the Flamin' Curry. Tried it earlier and forgot to post it so this is my second pot of Flamin' Curry.
Basically it tastes like the chicken was a fiery kick that you get from cajun spices.
Overall, the chicken and beef remain my favourite.
[Review] Batchelor Super noodle Pots Chicken and Beef
Batchelors Super Noodles have always been in a packet but a few years ago they started doing noodles in a pot. The Batchelors Southern Fried Chicken Super Noodles Pot was new hence the reason I tried it.
The pot was nice too with the American design so I shall be keeping the pot after I finished eating the noodles.
Basically you fill to the line, wait for two minutes and then another 2 minutes after stirring.
The southern fried chicken super noodles was quite nice because you can taste fried chicken.
As for the noodle texture, the noodle sauce was really viscous which makes it really slipper.
Overall it was nice but I think the bacon Batchelors noodle pot is the best.
Pot Noodles have added two low salt noodles to the lost the pot range.
Sadly, I wasn't picked for the trial earlier in March 2021 to trial them, hence I had to buy then as soon as they were out.
The two new flavors are vegetable which is vegan and cheese and tomato.
Finally spotted them recently at Sainsburys for 50p so got them both.
I ended up trying the Vegetable (peas and quiet) first.
The flavouring sachet was quite green with a strong smell of broccoli that it reminded me of those sachets of broccoli cuppa soups and visually you could see quite a fair bit of dehydrated broccoli bits in it.
To be honest, I found it really tasty because they appropriately used strong vegetables like broccoli, kale and peas to give it flavour without the salt.
The next day I tried the Tomato and Cheese, the flavouring sachet had a strong cheesy smell.
Overall, it was nice but the vegetable fared better.
The cheese and tomato flavour was mild so it could have done better if the flavours were stronger.
To summarize, I prefer the vegetable flavour.

Earlier this year Pot Noodles have launched the new LOST THE POT NOODLES which are currently available at ASDA.
Even though I bought them for a few weeks, it took me a while to try them because they required more effort than before in the sense that it is not just adding water.
Although I do try other brands of instant noodles that require cooking, these are different psychologically as they started off as convenience noodle that just required boiling hot water.
To summarize, you will like these noodles if you like Batchelors super noodles.
The only difference is that the strands are flat and not as wide and thick as the pot noodle version and the noodles are a bit dry and sticky.
They come in three flavours: roast chicken, sweet chili and curry.
As a noodle fan, I tried all three.
The roast chicken was my favourite because they smelled like a packet of roast chicken crisps and tasted like chicken.
The curry was just like a salty curry lacking spices and that umami flavour because it doesn't contain any msg.
The sweet chilli was my least favourite as it was just sticky and sweet.
