Nissin Black garlic oil flavour crisps

These Nissin Black garlic oil crisps are under the Nissin Koikeya series.

When I opened the bag, there was a really strong sesame smell but when you eat it the garlic becomes stronger with every crisp you put in your mouth to the point that it tastes bitter.

As with all Asian crisps packets they like to fill it a third full.

I found the crisps tasting like a concentrated version of the black garlic oil noodles.

Cup Noodle’s 45th anniversary Luxury Shark Fin cup noodle and Softshell Turtle cup noodle

Tried Nissin's Luxury Shark Fin cup noodle and Softshell Turtle cup noodle which are launched for Cup Noodle’s 45th anniversary.

It is interesting that these flavours are so Chinese and a delicacy claiming to contain at least 1000mg of collagen in the cupnoodles.

+++++++++++++++
Softshell Turtle cupnoodle:

The soft shell turtle was quite nice because the soup tasted like Chinese herb soup and it was thick with wolfberries and tasty shitaake mushrooms.
However, I felt that is tasted better without the sachet of oil.

Shark Fin cupnoodle:

The Shark Fin was quite nice because the soup tasted like Chinese herb soup and it was thick with pieces of black fungus, bokchoy and wolfberries.

Nissin extra hot mapo tofu 日清のとんがらし麺ビッグ 激辛麻婆豆腐味

All I can say is that these noodles were too spicy for me.
It looked deadly spicy when I peeled the lid off and saw how red it was.

USA Nissin BIG CUP NOODLES - Beef

Tried the USA Nissin beef BIG cup noodles that are slightly different to the Asian version because the noodles are wider and similar to linguini with a softer texture when it has absorbed the broth.
The beef flavour was quite light.
As well the noodles, the packaging is different because they use card and not PFC.

Nissin Sio cup noodles

To be honest I can’t read Japanese so I don’t quite know what flavour this is but the labelling at the supermarket reads olives but Sio also means salt in Japanese.

There are grilled pieces of meat in the cup which I think are chicken and there are pieces of potato and beans.

The taste was quite nice but if it was olive, I would say the olive taste was quite light.

Nissin Tom Yum Goong Flavour crisps

These crisps are under the Nissin Koikeya series.

They also have a spicy cheese and a spicy flavour as well.

I found the crisps spicier than the cup noodles because the chili powder was evenly distributed on the crisps.

Nissin Pumpkin potage

Judging by the black design, I suspect this was launched for Halloween but it was still on sale in December and the expiry date is not until next year so I got it.

When you peel back the lid, you can see that there are quite a lot of dehydrated pieces of pumpkin in it.

The soup was thick and viscous with a nice creamy pumpkin taste and a strong hint of black pepper which somehow tones down the milky taste of the soup.

Hong Kong Nissin’s new chili pepper crab cup noodle

Discovered two new Nissin cup noodle flavours: Black pepper crab and Chili crab.
Both seem to be inspired by Singapore as shown on the label.

Chili crab:

The Chili crab flavour is quite hot and there are lots of chili pepper pieces in it that make it taste hot.

Not much crab taste but you can smell and taste paprika.
If you have tried Nissin’s Tom Yum Kung flavour, I would rate it as spicier than that.

Other flavours in this series Black pepper crab.
