Hokkaido-Yo Chestnut

After trying some chestnut yoghurt yesterday, I was surprised to see Chestnut Hokkaido-Yo from Circle K, now shortened to Ho-Yo according to the poster!!
Finally tried it and I felt that it lacked chestnut taste and it just tasted like Tiramisu/Coffee.

Green Tea molten cake

The first time I had green tea fondant cake was at Sinmei’s and then the Intercontinental hotel.
Now you can get it from Circle K convenience stores for $9.9.

Before putting it in the microwave:

After I took it out from the microwave, I was shocked to see the fondant had burst in the centre which was kind of funny. FXXK! Bursting and not molten cake! 頂!!!!爆心蛋糕

As for the taste, it was really nice and not too sweet with a strong green tea taste.

Circle K : Noodles with imitation abalone and crabsticks

The noodle set looked delicious with imitation abalone, crabsticks and it was cheap too so I tried it.

The noodles they use are Nissin Taisho (日清大將炒麵) which comes with sesame sauce or spicy sauce.

I tried both sauces, the sesame one was more delectable while the spicy one was too spicy, but the texture of the noodles were too foamy and I did not like it.

The imitation abalone tasted like the usual surimi fare but it was shaped in abalone form.

Hokkaido-Yo Sweet Purple potato

Tried the new Sweet purple potato flavour in the Hokkaido Yo series.
The taste was interesting, there was a strong sweet purple potato essence taste and it was also slightly sour as well because of the yogurt.
I really liked it because sweet purple potato is always sweet and this time it was made into froyo so it tasted difference with the sourness.

Circle K Hokkaido-Yo Peach flavour

Found out there was a new flavour so got a tub to try.
I was expecting the colour to be peach/pastel orange but it was PINK!!!

The taste was quite artificial but the taste of PEACH is really hard to inmitate.

Anyway I hope they will have strawberry flavour in future.

Other Hokkaido-yo flavours I have tried:
Original, Grape and Fuji apple

Circle K Exclusive : Hokkaido-Yo

Saw these bright green ice-cream tubs behind the counter at Circle K so I had a closer look.
It turns out they were Hokkaido style froyo, an exclusive product of Circle K.
There were three flavours fuji apple, grape and Original.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
It was interesting having them at different temperatures!
Straight from the freezer or letting it defrost for a while.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Hokkaido-Yo Original
The texture was light and airy like mousse and I loved it.
It was really nice and creamy but the texture was like whipped melted marshmallow.
There was some slight Froyo taste too but not the Yakult type of taste.
Anyway I'll be back for more.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Hokkaido-Yo Apple
The texture was the same as above and the taste of the fuji apple was really prominent.
It has that strong taste you get from chewing apple skin of fuji apple.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Hokkaido-Kyoho grape
The texture was the same as above and the taste was not as fake as I thought it would be.

CREAMY COW ice-cream from Circle K

When I saw this poster, I really wanted to try it so I went in to get it.
My first thought was where's the ice-cream dispenser.
Then I saw cups of frozen ice-creams behind the counter.
It was on promotion for $7.5

The sauces for the ice-cream were self service which is good because you can decide how much sauce to put on the ice-cream.
There were three sauces: strawberry, chocolate and caramel.

Overall I felt caramel was the best flavour and the ice-cream tasted like Apollo's ice-cream, but not as creamy as stated.
