teapigs birthday blend - jelly and ice cream

teapigs is a famous brand of artisan tea in the UK.
They are now all over the world.
I encountered them a few years ago when they had a stall at the Island East Markets and now you can find them all over Hong Kong and available at most restaurants and cafes.

Time flies and it is now their 10th birthday.

Thank you tea pigs for this lovely box which had the birthday blend and a glass cup and saucer to go with it.

I loved the packaging because it was colourful and the graphics are well designed like their other teas. This is what makes them memorable and outstanding.

On the back of the pack, there is a special message from Louise which I couldn't agree more especially memories of Woolworths pic'n'mix.
Sadly it doesn't exist anymore and lots of sweets and crisps have become extinct and many traditional British meals and desserts are rapidly disappearing or being modernized :(

Anyway, lets get back to the tea.
jelly and ice cream blend is the best way to celebrate because it is fun and everyone likes it.

The ingredients in this tea are: apple, blueberry, orange peel, liquorice root, citric acid, strawberry pieces, vanilla pieces, natural vanilla flavouring, raspberry flavouring, natural cream flavouring, natural biscuit flavouring.

When I took the tea temples out, there was a lovely sweet berries and cream smell and the tea has a pretty pink colour to it with a fine tart taste to it.

Guinness flavoured crisps

Tried these Guinness flavoured crisps by Burts Potato Chips.
They were thick cut with a Guinness aroma and had a slight bitterness that tastes just like beer.
The colour of the crisps are slightly darker too.

Cheesy fun with The Chunky Cheese Co

After getting some tasteless cheese, I was craving for some tasty cheese when I spotted these individually packed pieces of cheese which was perfect for me because I didn't feel like getting a block that day.

I really liked it because they had three flavours:
Mature cheddar with chilli and lime
Mature cheddar with cracked black pepper
Tangy mature cheddar.

Anyway, I bought all three to try but the shop stuck these nasty labels which won't come off!!
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Mature cheddar with chilli and lime:
The chilli was surprisingly fiery and the lime was subtle.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Mature cheddar with cracked black pepper:

The cheddar with cracked black pepper was really nice when you chewed the black pepper pieces releasing a nice peppery kick.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Tangy mature cheddar.

Last but not least, I loved this one because of the sharp taste.

This is what they look like without the labelling.

Orange millions milk chocolate bar

Orange millions:

The chocolate had a nice orange smell and it had pieces of crisp and chewy orange flavoured pieces in it which tasted delicious with the milk chocolate.
It tasted great after I put the chocolate in the freezer because the pieces became chewier.

Kellogg's Chocolatey Pretzel cereal bar

There are quite a few flavours for Kellogg's cereal bars.
So far I have tried Kellogg's chocolate and raspberry and red cherry.
Finally tried the Pretzel one which was surprisingly good, at first I thought the Pretzels were going to make it taste weird but the whole bar itself had this interesting caramel taste to it and the texture was nice and chewy.

NIK NAKS Nice 'n' Spicy Flavour

I love NIK NAKS but my favourite flavours Scampi 'n' Lemon and Hard Cheese have been discontinued because the makers wanted to make Nik Naks a less smelly brand.
The Nice 'n' Spicy Flavour was not spicy but it was very acidic.

Nice 'n' Spicy Flavour ingredients:
Maize, Sunflower Oil (37%), Nice N' Spicy Flavour [Sugar, Yeast Extract, Natural Flavourings (contains Barley Malt Vinegar, Barley Malt Extract, Soya Sauce, Wheat Flour), Salt, Dried Onion, Citric Acid, Curry Powder (Spices, Rice Flour), Malic Acid, Spice, Flavourings (contains Soya Sauce, Wheat Flour, Colour: Paprika Extract, Spice Extracts, Garlic Extracts)]. Ashleys Orange thins

Thanks to a sweet friend for these Orange thins.

They were similar to After Eights but had orange jelly filling inside.
Inside the box, there are 15 pieces and do not have those paper wrappers that After Eights have.

As well as Orange, they had other flavours which were: peppermint, Irish coffee, praline and Turkish delight.

The taste of these Orange thins were really nice and tasted like Jaffa cakes without the biscuit and sponge part.

The sweetness of these Orange thins were quite sweet and sugary.

FOX's glacier fruit sweets - strawberry flavour

Fox's glacier sweets are a British brand, but somehow the one I have here is an Indonesian version which is wrapped differently probably due to their hot climate.
In UK they are wrapped in wrappers with the two ends twisted, but the Indonesian version is seal.

The shape of the sweet is also different.

Orexis Houmous

I tried Orexis' Houmous which was really nice, it was not too sour or sickly, and the grounded chick peas were smooth.

My good old KFC in England

This is the KFC we have in ENGLAND!

Perfect fries accompanied by gravy, the fries are slightly crispy and soft in the inside dusted lightly with salt.
The fried chicken is fried just right, there is a light crispy coating that is not too hard.
The size of the drumsticks I have seen in Hong Kong are tiny and slightly smaller than the KFC sporks!
