USA Nissin Cup Noodles Campfire S'mores

Another sweet noodle from Nissin and this time it was Campfire S'mores!
I was definitely curious and couldn't wait to try it.
They are said to taste like chocolate which makes it similar to this other chocolate instant noodles.
What I like about this one is obviously the marshmallows so I did some research before digging into mine!
So marshmallows completely disappear after it is microwaved so I took some out just for the garnishing.
Anyway, followed the instructions as in putting it in the microwave but I still got liquid just like the bagel noodles which I reviewed earlier so I will probably put less water in the next one.
Overall, they just taste of chocolate by that I mean the chocolate toast crunch cereals and I feel they would taste much better if they were chilled or iced.

Iceland Crispy shredded duck and prawn toast

Iceland has always had a fantastic takeaway range which I have not tried until now.
They used to have dim sums with the steamer included.
On a recent trip, I realized how cheap it was so I got the duck with pancakes and prawn toasts to try.
The only catch is you might have to spend money travelling to bigger stores to get it if your local doesn't have it.
Overall the duck and pancakes are delicious as it is pure meat and some skin.
You won't get scammed for fat and bones like some places.
The duck only takes 2 mins in the microwave while the prawn toasts take a few minutes longer.
I felt that the quality of prawn toast at home is much healthier because it was cooked in a halogen oven so oil free but it didn't contain much prawn in the filling as it had more a a crunch.

Other options in the takeaway range:

Inner Piece Adult Lego experience

Inner Piece Adult Lego experience.
There were two experiences one could choose.
The first was Meditative Flower Making workshop to build beautiful flowers and plants.
Once finished you can plant it in the garden at the entrance.
The second option is the 50 minutes Happy Prints workshop by Laurie Avon first creating a design on the baseplate before printing it using ink.
I had a go at the flower making workshop which was fun but stressful as I did not find the calming music calming, it was more like Twinpeaks.
I think I was probably better off doing the Happy Prints workshop which was more artistic in one dimension.
Overall worth visiting if you are in the area.

Location and dates:
7th - 13th October at 37 Eastcastle Street, London, W1W 8DR.

£3.50 for a Jamaican Lobster Patty

There is an abundance of Jamaican patties in London but one should make trip to Bakers Dozen Caribbean Roots because they have all the patties under the sun from Lobster, Fish, Prawn, Vegetarians options to Oxtail!!
Located in a residential area, it is off the radar from the city but expect queues and a wait before you get served.
Luckily, they are well stocked so you won't be disappointed.
As well as patties they have fried chicken, noodles, prawn dishes, mac and cheese so your complete Caribbean fix is right in front of you!!
I got there around 16:23 and the tiny shop was filled with people and when I left around 16:40 there was a long queue outside!!
Since it was a one off visit I got the lobster, prawn, fish, jerk chicken and oxtail patty!
The star of the show is definitely the lobster and this is probably the only place you can get it in London and for £3.50 it would be a sin not to try.
For that price, I don't expect chunks of lobsters but I found some crustacean pieces which could be red prawn or lobster but I give it the benefit of doubt that it is lobster.
Overall, I found the lobster, prawn and fish very similar because the filling was mixed with pumpkin and it was very spicy and salty.
The oxtail patty is also worth trying because this is the only way it is boneless and it was minced very finely, again I give it the benefit of doubt that it is oxtail.
To summarize, I am glad I tried this place.

The Department of Taste at FENWICK

I love gems and food so these edible emeralds had my name printed on them!
This is probably my first purchase at Fenwick where I had to make a special trip to one of the branches because the one in central London is gone.
This curious collection of confections contains four mystery flavours which are revealed when at the cabinet where you choose one and try in the sensory room of green lights and lasers!
You place the jewel on the light, experience the smoke and indulge on the edible emerald when ready.

There are four flavours:
Rhubarb, Pear & Blueberry
Earl Grey & Sorrento Orange
Strawberry & Champagne
Juniper & Lychee

To be honest, they are all nice in different aspects so I bought the box which contains all four.
Although they don't have the sugar coating, they reminded me of fruit jellies and York Fruits.

Fenwick Tunbridge Wells 11 - 16 October, 12pm - close
