Ambrosia sticky toffee flavour rice pudding review

I love rice pudding hence I was really looking forward to trying this new flavour.
Tried it cold as well as warm.
Personally, I liked it cold because it was more flavourful and you can really taste the toffee while it was less creamy.
Having it warm, the rice pudding tasted cloyingly sweet with a nice creaminess however the texture was nicer and not clumped together.
Overall, I really enjoyed this even though you could only taste the toffee notes.

Birchall teas review

Discovered Birchall teas the speciality food fair and my favourite had to be the great rift ie strong breakfast tea.
The rest were too aromatic although the green tea peach had a strong green tea base followed by a strong peach aroma.
I believe their teas are popular in Asia since there is Asian language at the back.

Good & Proper Teas review

Discovered Good & Proper teas at Specialty food fair.
I sampled the Earl Grey and Jade tips and felt that their teas were quite strong so you don't have to steep the tea bags for long.

Sainsburys Cherry, rum & coconut mince pies with morello cherry

I though these cherry mince pies were new because of the NEW word but it turns out that they are not if there are already reviews on these in 2021.
In terms of taste, they are a nice alternative to mince pies.
The sweet rum flavour really comes through as well as the cherries, however you do get a strong aftertaste with the spices.
The coconut chunks on top were quite nice and give you that roasted flavour.
Overall, they were nice to start with, but the spices can get a bit overwhelming if you don't like them.

Sainsbury's Sour Cherry & prosecco chutney - Taste the difference

I am so glad cherry has been given justice this year and there is finally a cherry chutney.
Loved the sweetness which I don't normally appreciate in a chutney.
Best paired with goats cheese but I didn't have any however it was still good with some chipolatas.
The chutney was similar to a cherry compote but was more flavourful with the spices and chunky bits of chopped cherries.
Also contains apple.

Lidl Italiamo Foglie d'ulivo - tomato and spinach

Foglie d'ulivo is a olive leaf shaped handmade pasta).
You can really taste the grassy spinach in the spinach one.
Overall, the texture and everything reminds me of spatzle.
Will be trying the tomato one at some point which I believe will taste nicer.

Sainsbury's gingerbread & white chocolate blonde pies - Taste the difference

I am not really a white chocolate person but the combo of gingerbread, frangipane and caramel filling sounded good.
I tried the pie at room temperature and warmed up in the microwave for 10 seconds.
The pie was more enjoyable at room temperature because it was not too sweet and more flavourful that you can taste the caramel and almond followed by the fiery kick at the back of your throat.
Eating it warmed, I found it was too sweet and it was hard to taste anything else although the gingery kick was still there.
Will be trying it again at room temperature with some hot custard.
Overall, I am glad I got these because I can see myself finishing the rest.
