Kabuto noodles Miso ramen, Chicken, Singapore noodles

I came accross Kabuto noodles while ordering groceries on ocado.
Ocado was the only place that you could get miso ramen which was why I ordered it.
The miso ramen noodles were really impressive as the quality was not like your usual pot noodles especially the broth.
They were similar to egg noodles and the miso one contained tasty nigella seeds and all that green herbs.
After trying the miso, I was expecting the chicken to be good but it was not to my liking because of the turmeric.
The Singapore noodles were slightly better but the broth was a bit bland so best to put less water in the pot.

deliciously ella berry granola

Definitely an extravagant granola with all those quality berries.

Asda Spicy crumpet wedges

All I could think of was pizza slices when I saw these.
Anyway, as a crumpet lover, I had to give them a try.
I believe they were previously frozen as they have water droplets inside the bag.
Taking them out the packet, there was a mixed aroma which was quite impressive because I was just expecting plain crumpets with cayenne pepper, but it was much more complex than that.
Looking at the ingredients, I was surprised with what they put in like tomato powder, cumin, coriander, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, red bell peppers, lime oil, cayenne pepper, oregano and coriander leaf.
Tasting it on its own, it was like the usual spiced flatbread, naan but with a crumpet texture.
I paired with some spicy houmous which turned out quite tasty.
I feel that it needs to be paired with something savoury and tangy.
Overall, it was quite nice but the oregano was a bit too strong for my liking as it was too prominent.

Sainsburys black forest gateau flavour porridge - taste the difference

I was so excited when I saw the black forest gateau porridge which you can buy as a ready to eat pot or as a box.
I deinitely enjoyed this porridge for breakfast.
It basically tasted chocolatey with a cherry aroma.
However it lacked cherry taste and there were not much visible dried cherry pieces.
Would love to see a cherry bakewell porridge.

Baked Toffee Drizzle caramely cake slices

I felt that these were lifeless artificial tasting cakes.
What I didn't like was the waxy texture but after looking at the ingredients, it contains humectant and glycerol.Lifeless artificial tasting cakes.

Sainsburys pumpkin spice cake - taste the difference autumn edition

Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed with this cake.
Firstly, the cake had a waxy mouthfeel which leads the humectant and glycerol culprit I found in the ingredients.
I can't understand why the manufacturers use these ingredients when Mary Berry does not in her supermarket cakes.
Secondly, the cloves and nutmeg were so strong that it was like eating a masala chai cake.
I am not sure if it is just me but I would associate pumpkin spice flavours with strong cinnamon which I didn't really taste in this cake.

Sweets by Ask Mummy and Daddy

Discovered this brand of sweets by Ask Mummy and Daddy at the Specialty food fair.
Their range was really interesting as well as a must have.
The Tea Bears which are not launched yet are basically sweets as well as teas.
Add a few bears into hot water to make flavoured tea and the more bears the merrier for a stronger taste.
As well as the Tea Bears, the sweet range was good.
I like the way they do sweet treats from old school classics and hard boiled favourites to delicious cocktail candies and soft gummies.
The cake sweets are highly recommended like the Victoria sponge and Batternberg.
I tried the beer mug gummies, lemon drizzle gourmet sweet and pina colada gummies.
The beer gummies were just like beer but they were non alcholic and the aroma is like the smell you get when you talk to someone who has had beer.'
The pina colada was really nice, I liked the pineapple and coconut flavours.
Last but not least, the lemon drizzle gourmet sweets were like hard boiled lemony sweets.
