Chicken ovaries 雞卵巢

Chickens ovaries are a Thai delicacy which I have always wanted to try.

This Thai restaurant serves them but they were always sold out when I went.

Recently found out that you could buy then so I bought a box for £6.65 and there were so many in the box.

The first time I tried them, I wanted to know what they tasted like so I just boiled them with some instant noodles.

I was told that they cook easily so 2-3 minutes in boiling water should do.

When I tried them, they actually tasted like egg yolks but not as flavourful and the texture was the same depending how well you cook it.

The texture was like biting into a sausage casing or a chicken testee where it pops when you break the skin.

The smaller balls pop like boba.

Overall, I really liked eating them but you can't really eat too many because they can be quite heavy and high on cholestrol.

The name chicken ovaries is quite misleading because they are really eggs that have not developed.

Trifle from One Stop

I have never visited One Stop as it is off my radar but recently made a trip to one because of the new birthday cake f'real milkshake but sadly One Stop did not have it.

While I was at the One Stop, I was surprised to discover that they had their own branded food which is somehow linked to TESCO so you would expect Tesco quality there.

I picked up some trifle because it looked good and to my surprise it did not disappoint.

There were lots of whole strawberries at the bottom and the jelly was just right without being too artifical.

The custard and stabilized cream were to my liking so overall I am so glad I tried this and I might be back for other snacks.

Other One stop goodies such as iced fingers, Swiss rolls, biscuits etc.

Takis fuego crispy tortilla rolls

Takis fuego is a popular American snack that is so popular you can get them everywhere in the UK now.

I found them extremely refreshing and spicy and strong on the flavours.

You can really taste that strong sour punch as well as the heat which makes them moreish.

The snacks look just like the picture and I love that barcode at the back which is in the shape of a chilli.

NongFu Spring Red Tea 農夫山泉東方樹葉紅茶 原味茶 500ml

Was given this bottle of Nongfu spring red tea.

As soon I opened the bottle, I could smell the aromatic red tea scent and you can really taste the artificial aroma essences.

Malibu Pineapple

Who doesn't like Malibu!

I tried the Malibu Pineapple cocktail which had such great pineapple and coconut notes which can be enjoyed anytime!

Sainsbury's Coconut & Raspberry Loaf Cake

I have always wanted to try a coconut & raspberry loaf cake so I was gutted why I didn't try it sooner!!

The loaf cake was so damn delicious and the raspberry jam on top is so punchy with a good tartness complimented by the moist and tasty cake beneath it which was not too sweet.

The loaf cake would definitely taste good with some custard.

Sainsburys free from spinach ricotta tortelloni

I love tortelloni anything so this time tried the Sainsburys free from spinach ricotta tortelloni which is gluten free and made of fresh egg pasta.

It didn't take long to cook so the tortelloni was nice and soft.

Overall a quick and tasty fix.
