Mantinga mini curd berliner balls filled with cherry from Lithuania

On a recent visit to Upminster, spotted these berliner balls at an European grocery store.
As they were filled with cherry I had to try them.
Unfortunately, the texture of these balls were weird and nothing like doughnuts or even cakey.
The cherry flavoured filling was artificial.

Harrisons Sauces

As well as food, I love trying different sauce.
This time came accross Harrisons sauces because my local pizza shop had them.
On the Harrisons instagram account, there are more flavours which I would love to get hold of.
The ones I had access to were: Chilli, Sour cream and chives, BBQ, Garlic & Herb, Garlic & mayo.
The sour cream and chives was interesting, it was really nice as it tasted strangely like McDonalds filet o fish sauce but not the conventional sour cream and chives
The chilli was also nice in a different way, it was like a really tart bbq sauce without the sweetness and some spicy aftertaste.

M&S Orange Candy Melon

I love M&S because they will always have some special fruit varieties every now and then.
This time it was the Orange candy melon.
When I bought it, it didn't feel ripe as the overall melon was quite hard but I decided to tuck into it.
The melon was really hard when I put my knife into it so the mouthfeel texture was crisp with a crunch but not too juicy,
Although the texture didn't seem ripe, the taste was really sweet and sugary similar to Hami Melon which is also orange inside.
Looking forward to other specialties fruits.

punchy drinks

I got these drinks a while ago from bcorp and were saving it because I knew they would be good.
The combination and flavours sounded amazing.
There was Peach ginger & Chai, blood orange, bitters & cardamon, cucumber yuzu & rosemary.
The orange was surprisingly good as well as the cucumber.
Definitely would buy them again.

KIRKLAND Mini pastry assortment 30 pack

Contents: mini pain au raisin and mini chocolate twist.
Finally tried their bakery because someone bought some.
They look cheap but taste ok however you can taste they are not the good quality type!
For a 30 pack, I would have expected three different varieties rather than just two different pastries which seems odd being called an assortment when there are only two choices.

Tesco Ms Molly's Fairy Cakes

I am glad I got to try these at a friends place because I would definitely not buy these because they look like long life cakes.
Overall, I felt that they were nothing like fairy cakes but taste like a non oily Madeleines.

Herdez taco kit

Herdez, a popular Mexico salsa brand debuts in the London.
A few weeks ago they were dishing out free tacos at Southbank but sadly I didn't make it.
On my recent shopping trip to TESCO, I spotted their salsas and taco kits so without hesitation I got the TACO KIT which has everything from the SALSA, seasoning to wraps.
I ending up getting two TACO KITS so I could try both salsas and different seasonings.

There are three kits:
Barbacoa (smoky chipotle, black pepper and allspice)
Mexican City (Bold cumin, garlic and cayenne pepper)
Yucatan (zingy citrus, garlic & coriander)
I got the Barbacoa and Yucatan as Cayenne pepper can be a bit spicy.
So in the two kits, I got to try the Salsa Verde and Salsa Casera as well as the Yucatan and Barbacoa seasonings.

Adding chicken and onion filling to the wraps were tasty, however I felt that the tacos should be labelled soft shell tacos as they are very different to the crisp tacos made of corn.
The salsa sauces were impressive, both tasted extremely natrual like they were freshly made without any artificial flavours.
I liked the way, they were not salty so it does not add anymore saltiness to the tacos when you have already used the seasoning.
Salsa Casera had a decent amount of chunky chopped tomatoes and onions.
Although I liked the Salsa Casera, the Verde turned out to be the star because of the tomatillos which are so moreish and refreshing.
The only complaint is that the consistency of the sauces are watery that you pour too much by accident because of the wide bottle neck.
The sauces might be better off in a jar.
Overall, I love the salsa and they are great in Mexing up any dish!
