Pot Noodle Doner Kebab
The Pot Noodle Doner Kebab flavour is back after a long nine years!
I can't believe I missed it back then when they were out but the problem is that only specific supermarkets stock them and if you don't live near them then you're chances are grim.
Finally got my hands on the Doner Kebab by making a special trip to ASDA.
As always I try the noodles without the sauce and I am glad Pot Noodle have emphasized this on the lid so that people try the noodles without the sauce first.
Before trying the noodles, I tried a bit of the sauce which was super hot just like the piri piri chicken one.
The hot sauces taste and remind me of crazy American hot sauces which are quite lethal.
Anyway, without the sauce, I was surprised how the aroma was remarkably like a doner kebab shop, you get that greasy stinking lamb aroma which is oddly satisfying.
As for the taste, the kebab flavour isn't quite pungent as the restaurant but you do get hint of it on the aftertaste.
Adding the hot sauce gives it a really spicy kick just like having a spicy doner.
Overall, these pot noodles are worth trying just like their other flavours.
New Tesco BBQ Beef Flavour Instant noodles
Tescos have come out with some new instant noodles priced at 30p.
There are two flavours and both vegan: BBQ Beef flavour and Southern Fried chicken.
I could only get my hands on the BBQ beef and it was the last packet as well!
Overall, they could have done better on the flavouring as it was rather weak and bland.
There was no umami oomph to it but the Thyme herbs came through pretty strong which annoyed me in a BBQ flavour since it was not roast beef.
NOMO a seriously good rice based chocolate
Nomo, a dairy free, gluten free and nut free chocolate brand.
It has been around for quite a while now and it’s so good that the NOMO caramel bar was voted 2020’s Best Vegan Chocolate by Vegan Food UK and 25,000 vegan consumers!
I finally tried these Nomo bars at the Just V Show.
To be honest, I was really impressed and you wouldn't suspect it was vegan or nut free.
The chocolate caramel filled with gooey caramel was amazing and moreish while the sweetness was just right.
Their chocolates are rice based and they got the taste right compared to other rice based chocolate which are too sweet.
To my surprise, they are made by Kinnerton which manufactures affordable chocolates that can be found in Poundland.
Anyway, at the Just V Show, they had this huge NOMO chocolate bar which definitely got my attention.

UK's first naturally flavoured nutritional yeast flakes by Notorious nooch
Discovered these Vegan, Dairy Free and Gluten Free naturally flavoured nutritional yeast flakes by Notorious nooch at the Just V Show.
Overall, I like the way they are nutritious and tasty that you can add it to crisps or pasta for flavours.
The flavours they offer are cheese and smokey bacon which are both very tasty.
Tried them on plain crisps and they were amazing.
My Sweet Chickpea
There are so many sweet coated chickpeas around these days that I am trying to keep up with them.
This time I tried the brand called My Sweet Chickpea which comes in so many flavours.
As you can imagine, they are similar to coated nuts but with a harder crunch.
Overall, the dark chocolate is my favourite.
Rude Health coconut date & nut bar
I can't remember where I got this from but I am not really a fan of sugary dates and coconut.
Anyway, ate this one morning as a quick snack and it was much better than anticipated.
The sweetness was just right as well as the coconut which was not too over powering.
