Cheesies popped Cheese

Lots of snacks are popped or freeze dried these days so I had to get my hands on some popped cheese because I haven't tried popped cheese despite having tried other popped snacks.
Cheesies offer different a variety of popped cheeses like as gouda, cheddar, emmenthal etc.
There are two different sizes 20g for £1.19 at Holland Barratt and 60g for £2 at Sainsburys so when I saw that you could try them directly from Cheesies for just the price of the postage £1.50 I made an order asap.
It comes in a nice box with three 20g of Cheddar, Red Leicester and Gouda.
Just as I expected the bites of crispy cheese are moreish and taste exactly like cheese but in crispy form similar to the burnt cheese you find after baking it in the oven or on top of cheese rolls that have been baked.
It also feels like eating freeze dried meringue but with a hard crunch.
The best thing is that they don't feel heavy because they are dry and popped while your fingers don't get greasy.
Overall cheddar and red Leicester were my favourite while gouda had a bitter aftertaste.

Cheesies 60g at Sainsburys:

Happy Snaxs Snacks (vegan)

Happy Snaxs Snacks have been around since the 1990s but somehow I missed them.
Finally got them at Poundland because somethings just have to be tried as I don't often see them about.
Basically they are shaped like wotsits and currently there are three flavours: Salt & Vinegar, Cheese and Spring Onions.
In the past, there was spicy tomato and it came in packs of 20 but now they come in packs of 15.
The texture is similar to space raiders.
Out of the three flavours, I liked salt and vinegar the best as it was strong.
The spring onion was also punchy tasting like freshly chopped spring onions.
I wasn't keen on the cheese though because it was strange but glad I tried.
The only disappointment was the quality because every bag I opened was soft and not crispy despite each bag was tightly sealed and hard to open as an adult.

Morrisons Takeway Chicken Balti

Morrisons Takeway Chicken Balti comes in a nice reusable sturdy plastic box.
As well as the nice container, the chicken balti contents were surprisingly good and did not disappoint.
Labelled as Marinated chicken breast pieces in a tomato and mixed pepper sauce, infused with garlic, ginger and paprika.
It was a curry that I enjoyed because the tomato was really strong and then you get that slight spicy kick at the end.
The chicken pieces were nice and tender which made it good overall.

Morrisons The Best Salmon Smoked Haddock & King Prawn Fish Pie

I love fish pies and this particular one had a nice white wine with extra mature Cheddar and parsley sauce.
Overall good but I felt that cooking time should be reduced as the seafood is already cooked so if you follow the instructions, they get overcooked.

Polish Plum Doughnut

Ever since I saw these plum doughnuts at a small coffee shop, I have been meaning to try it.
Finally got one today at the local Polish shop because there was a good variety of bakery items and many different doughnuts to offer.
For 99p, I was quite impressed by the doughnut itself which was fluffy and soft without being too sweet o oily.
The plum filling inside tasted like prune paste which also isn't too sweet with some tartness so definitely recommended but not recommended if you don't like the taste of prunes.

Lidl Baresa Italian sausage and ham tortelloni

There are so many options for tortelloni, you can get fresh ones or long life ones.
The Lidl Baresa Italian sausage and ham tortelloni is evidently a long life one as it can keep up to six months unopened.
Compared to fresh ones, I found them rather firm and chewy so probably best to cook it for longer.
Anyhow, the texture was still dry and weird although there was a nice sausage taste to it.

M&S Select Farms 2 British Outdoor Bred Gammon Steaks Unsmoked

There are so many options for gammon at different supermarkets.
So far this is my favourite because the texture of the gammon is very tender and moist.
