Sainsburys free from Margherita pizza review

When I picked this up, I didn't really want to get it because you could see quite a fair bit of finely chopped tomato peel.
Looking at the ingredients, it was meant to be sundried tomato.
Anyway, as it was a free from pizza, I decided to try it and compare it to other brands.
Overall, it was a good pizza but the sundried tomato was annoying as it was basically chopped dehydrated tomato skin and nothing like the real deal.

Woh Hup Singapore Hainanese Chicken Rice Paste 和合海南雞飯醬 1kg Restaurant version

I was so chuffed to be given this Woh Hup Singapore Hainanese Chicken Rice Paste from a friend because it has been a while since I have done Hainan style rice with these pastes.
The paste is really convenient as you just add it to the rice in the rice cooker and hey presto, you have some tasty Hainan rice.
The Woh Hup brand comes in a thick paste so you have to stir it properly when you use it to get an even flavouring.
I used it on noodles on the first application and it was tasty so I believe you can use this paste for other applications such as stir fry so it does not limit you to Hainan chicken!
The next day I applied it to rice and did not follow the instructions, I just added a spoon to the rice and mixed it in and let it cook in the rice cooker and the rice came out beautifully looking the part and tasting like restaurant quality.

Irvins salted egg fish skin and crisps

Since some bright spark added salted egg to crisps, people have been raving about Irvins salted egg crisps for the last few years.
I finally tried them because my dear friend got me them or I probably would have put them off as they are quite expensive.
When you open them up, there is an interesting smell.
The crisps are soft and velvety on touch with all that salted egg coating and the texture is not too hard on the palatte.
Overall moreish because of the curry and spices but the sweetness was bothersome just like Adam&Val from youtube said.

Similarly for the fish skin, they are along the same lines but with a fishier note because it is fish skin and the crunch is harder.

New Aero chocolate melts review

Nestle has recently launched the New aero chocolate melts which comes in two flavours the caramel and chocolate.
Many posts have said that they are not as good as hyped.
Since I have always wanted to try the aero caramel bars, I decided to get the aero melts which are easier to finish as the portion is smaller and they come like individual buttons.
Comparing the melts to the bars, there is a big difference.
Firstly the height of the melts makes the bubbles inside smaller compared to the bars so in that respect the texture was more like Cadburys wispa.
The bubbles in the regular aero products are much bigger and hence more airy and crumbly.
Other than the texture, the taste of the caramel was quite nice but it was rather sweet although there is a bitter aftertaste.
So to summarize if you are a Wispa person then you are going to like these Aero chocolate melts.
Well done to my Coop for stocking them because Morrisons did not have them when they should.

M&S Plant Kitchen creamy wedges

As well as the no mozarella sticks, you can now get creamy wedges inspired by brie.
These creamy wedges are unbelievable because they taste, smell, look and behave like brie and when you heat them in the oven they even melt like brie.
Just like the no mozarella stick, they had a really pungent smell almost like blue cheese and to be honest, I believe they are exactly the same as the sticks but in a wedge form because they taste exactly the same they both come with the same sweet chilli sauce.
The wedges are coconut based yet you can not taste any coconut in it whatsoever but in terms of calories I am not sure if dairy is higher or coconut is higher.

ASDA Trifle Gateau bar

As soon as I found out about the new Trifle gateau bar at ASDA, I knew I would love it.
There was a similar product at Iceland called the Classic Trifle slice which looks similar but the ASDA version is prettier with birthday vibes so I got it for my birthday.
I couldn't get it on the day or before as it was not stocked, finally bought it a week later as a bigger branch in London.
The packaging could have been better because there was nothing supporting the cake but luckily it did not stick to the wrapper.
Visually it was simple yet fancy.
I loved the taste as it was not too sweet and the strawberry sauce was really punchy.
There was something about the sponge layers and it was really nice, again not too sweet as I was expecting it to be similar to Swiss roll but it wasn't.
The size of this gateau is quite impressive and decent that you can share it between a few people.

Lidl Cashew Butter - Mcennedy

As well as peanut butter, I have always wanted to try other nut butters.
It just so happens that someone got the cashew butter so I got to try it.
It was really different to peanut butter because it was sweet like thick condensed milk with that dry mouthfeel that you get with peanut butter.
Overall it was nice but I thought it was too sweet to appreciate the taste of the cashew butter.
