Sainsburys mini Southern fried chicken waffles with spiced maple sauce and sweet waffle style crumbs

For Christmas this year, the party snacks at Sainsburys are quite impressive.
I was captivated by the chicken churros with BBQ sauce, paella bites, bubble and squeak bites and the chicken waffles with maple sauce.
The chicken churros was basically similar to the chicken doughnuts by M&S which also came with BBQ sauce so I got the chicken waffles.
Again, the idea is similar to the M&S chicken doughnuts as it comes with a waffle style crumb so I got the chicken waffles purely for novelty because of the shape.
To be shaped like that, the chicken has to be minced to form a waffle so I was ok with minced chicken however the coating was disappointing.
As a Southern style coating I was expecting some saltiness and the usual spices but it was literally bland so it relied on the maple sauce which was very very sweet and spicy.
Overall, the waffle shape was a fun idea but the coating and sauce were not my cup of tea.

Walkers Mince pie Christmas crisps 2021

I was so excited for the Walkers Christmas crisps this year because of the mince pie flavour.
It is always good to see something bold and different, although mince pie flavoured crisps is new for Walkers, Tescos also did a mince pie flavour in 2016.
The Christmas range this year are Pigs in blanket, roast potato and mince pie.

I thought the roast potato was a bit trivial because it is basically a potato being a potato which it is.
Anyway, I tried the mince pie and it was strangely nice, there was nothing off putting about it.
You could really smell the mince pie and taste the sweetness that was not offensive.
There is a subtle raisin and cinnamon flavour to it but it was not cloyingly sweet so I will definitely be digging in another bag soon.

The roast potato was rather disappointing because it was just a bit garlicky and sweet.
It would have been great if they bought back the Brussels sprouts flavour instead of the roast potato.
Although the flavour was disappointing, what are the odds of getting so many big and round unbroken crisps in a packet!
That was a first for me!
Let's see what next year brings!??

Loyd Spicy Cherry Tea

I love tea with cocoa in it so when I found out about the Loyd Spicy Cherry tea with cocoa and chilli I just had to get it.
It was a very unique tea as I haven't seen other tea offerings like this but mainly cherry.
I would have liked the cocoa to be stronger but it was nice just like tescos finest chocolate tea [not available anymore].

Also available are sweet plum and cinnamon and sunny orange with cinnamon in the Loyd range.

M&S Fully Loaded Cheeseburger Stonebaked Pizza

The burger sauce by M&S is so damn good that burger anything at Marks and Sparks is going to taste good like their cheeseburger spring rolls etc.
I have been wanting to get the cheeseburger pizza for a while which was only available at the city branches in London.
Finally my store had it so I got one asap.
As expected it was fantastic because of the burger sauce, caramelized onions and cheese but the only let down was the beef as there were some gristle bits.

Turnib Salgam Suyu vs Kilikya Salgam vs asma Salgam vs Sarehan (Turkish salty turnip drink)

After getting hooked on street style Turkish pickle juice, I found out about ÅŸalgam which is a similar drink made with Turnips.
It tastes salty just like Persian lime tea, Indian Jal Jeera and Thai Salty lemon soda.
As well as the Turnib brand, there are so many brands to choose from but I got Turnib to start.
I wasn't impressed with Tunib because you could taste preservative in it.
I also got the Kilikya Salgam which was the brand I picked up first but put it down because the staff said Turnib sells better.
Kilikya is cheaper by almost half and I felt that it tasted much better because it was more natrual.
Strangely, it was hot even though it is not spicy.
As I was impressed with Kilikya, I decided to try the asma brand as well which turned out to be rather acidic with a fizz compared to the other two.

Sarehan turned out really good and definitely in close ties with Kilikya so because of the price I would buy Kilikya!

To summarize in order of preference: Kilikya, Sarehan, asma and then Turnib.
Will be trying other brands when I come accross more.

Batchelors Cup a soup - Mushroom

It's been a while since I had Batchelors cup a soup so I got the mushroom!
Surprisingly, the soup still tastes the same with that earthy mushroom taste and you get tiny pieces of dehydrated mushrooms.

Kombucha drinks by Genie Drinks

I got my hands on some Kombucha drinks by Genie drinks at a ZenB supperclub dinner.
They are non alcoholic and healthy.
I tried the fiery ginger and citrus.
Personally the fiery ginger was my favourite while the citrus was refreshing.
