Moo Free original

Moo Free has been around for years but only recently tried it because I found out that it is made with rice flour.
I used to think it was just another brand of vegan chocolate.
The chocolate had a good snap to it.
As for the taste I was a bit disappointed because it was more sugary sweet than having a a good cocoa taste.

Fever Tree Rhubarb & Raspberry tonic water

Obviously I bought this because the flavour was rhubarb and raspberry.
On its own it tasted like fizzy raspberry with a sharp aftertaste followed by tonic quinine.
It was nice on its own but it was also good mixed with other stuff.

Fish4ever kombu sardine pate

As a fan of pate, I was intrigued yet captivated by this kombu sardine pate.
I love seaweed so this sounded good.
The kombu gave it an overall saltiness but there wasn't any umami kick to it.
The sardine was just the regular mashed sardine and didn't contain any bones which was good.
The pate was supposed to have Worcester sauce which I couldn't taste but in a way that was good because I can't imagine it going well with kombu.
Overall, I am glad I tried but it just tasted like your usual sardine pate.
They also have Wakame Tuna Paté and Sea Spaghetti Mackerel Paté which I would also like to try.

Clive's Creamy Cauliflower Quiche with garlic and kale

I love quiche and the idea of a cauliflower quiche sounded good because not many supermarkets do cauliflower in quiches.
On the box, it said Cauliflower quiche with garlic and kale which captivated me even more because kale is a super food.
As I bought this online I didn't have the experience to look at the details like the weight because it turned out to be a small quiche for one.
If I had known that, I would have ordered something else to try.
Strangely, the quiche is best eaten cold according the box so I only warmed it up a little.
I found the quiche too wholesome as there was more kale than cauliflower to the extent that the cauliflower was not existent.
It was definitely an odd quiche because with all that kale the mouthfeel was so different with all that chewing because most quiches have smooth fillings you can almost swallow it after putting it in your mouth.
Overall, it was nice but too much kale!

Gifted a Free watermelon

I know this doesn't sound right but I saw this market stall guy slam dunking his watermelons in the bin hard with intent to smash them so I offered to slam dunk one because how often do you get an opportunity to do that because who would buy a watermelon to smash unless it was for filming or something like that.
Upon asking, he didn't give me one to smash but gifted me one so I felt bad slam dunking it in the bin!
Anyway, it was quite a heavy watermelon so that was my exercise done for the day.
I ate some of the sweet juicy watermelon and pickled the rest because it was too big to finish.

Kallo rice cakes - caramelised onion and chutney cakes

Rice cakes are so popular these days because they are low in calories.
You can get them sweet or savoury.
Most rice cakes have corn which is something I don't like so Kallos rice cakes appealed to me because their veggie Lentil and green pea cakes didn't have sweetcorn.
It was really hard choosing a veggie cake because there were so many to choose from like: Beetroot, Spinach & Pesto, Tomato Salsa, Lime & Coriander and Caramelised Onion.
As for their sweet flavours, I would imagine the apple & cinnamon and the Cocoa, Date & Vanilla being nice.
In the end, I got the Caramelised Onion to see how they fared.
The wrapper itself was a real nemesis because it was really difficult getting the first cake out without breaking but after getting the second one out, the rest came out easily.
Strangely, they tasted exactly like quavers so you can imagine eating a huge quaver veggie cake!
I like quavers therefore these veg cakes are delicious and I plan to try the Tomato Salsa, Lime & Coriander someday.
