Baxters Super Good Bone Broth with Mushroom & Barley Soup

Who doesn't love a good hearty bone broth soup which is why I was captivated by Baxters Super Good Bone Broth with Mushroom & Barley Soup.
The ingredients seemed good with wild mushrooms like Shiitake, Oyster, Nameko and Cep.
Personally I am not a fan of barley but I found a way of getting less barley because barley is heavy and sink to the bottom.
I poured my bowl so I only got the veggies and then poured the rest in another bowl in which both bowls are to be reheated in the microwave.
Although, there was only 0.5% beef bone extract according to the ingredients, it was nice and beefy and reminded me of this beef and barley soup I had at the restaurant.
Beef bone attributes to that lovely gelatinous consistency.
The only disappointment were the mushrooms, I couldn't visually see any or taste any but according to the ingredients, the mushrooms only contribute to 2% vs 2.5% for beef.
The other soup: pea, broccoli and basil pesto soup is tempting but I am not keen on pesto although I feel that I should give it a try.

Their previous range in 2017:
Tomato, Orange and Ginger; Chicken Broccoli and Rice; Chicken Noodle; Fiery Fish Bisque; Pea, Broccoli and Basil Pesto, and Root Vegetable and Turmeric flavours.

Heinz made for Veggiez sauce - Chilli & Miso

I was captivated by the new Heinz made for Veggiez sauce range because they looked colourful and fun.
The sauces are designed to make vegetables tasty and great for dipping, marinading, roasting, grilling, stir-frying and more!
There are five sauces to choose from: Chilli & Miso, Coconut & Chilli, Tomato & Paprika, Balsamic & Rosemary and Preserved Lemon & Agave which are all gluten free, vegan and contains no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.
My initial choices would have been Preserved Lemon & Agave but there isn't any actual preserved lemon in the ingredients so I didn't fancy artificial lemon flavouring and agave is quite sweet.
Next I narrowed it down the chilli & miso because the rest you can pretty imagine the taste.
On first application, I decided to use it as a dipping sauce so that I could taste the sauce properly on its own.
It was a bit disappointing with miso as one of the main ingredients because there was no miso or umami taste.
Basically all you could taste was sharp vinegar and chilli, although it wasn't how I expected it to taste the sauce went well with roast vegetables.

M&S Panda Buns Limited Edition

M&S are also in the bun game with these limited edition panda mushroom hoisin bun.
Vegans can't escape because they've been made VEGAN!!
Hope to see a pumpkin bun for Halloween and why didn't they do a PERCY PIG version!!
Basically they taste the same as the regular M&S mushroom buns!!
Each one was uniformly shaped filled with mushrooms and hoisin sauce.
To be precise it was straw mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, oyster mushrooms and carrots.
After microwaving them for 1 minute, they were hot and fluffy.
The filling was quite nice because the straw mushrooms and carrots had a nice crunch followed by a nice sweet hoisin aftertaste and Shaoxing wine aroma.
Overall, a cute and delicious bun!

BRAVE dark chocolate and cookies and cream roasted chickpeas

Chickpea snacks are the trend and I have always wanted to try chocolate chickpeas.
There are so many brands for sweet chickpeas and BRAVE is one of them.
I tried them because someone said they were good on and they were on sale on ocado.
The dark chocolate coating was so delicious and strangely they tasted like Asian crispy pea snacks even though they were chickpeas.
To summarize, they are definitely recommended.

Update Oct 2022:
Tried the Cookies and Cream which is basically the same as dark chocolate with white chocolate.
The dark chocolate is nice and basically the same packaged with white chocolate.
I didn't like the white chocolate because the texture was waxy the vanilla taste was weird.

Wispa Gold Hazelnut flavor

As a hazelnut and caramel fan, I knew I was going to like this so I didn't hesitate at all in buying this.
If I had known about the Cadbury shares earlier I would have bought some because they are just that good!
Compared to the Wispa gold, it isn't that sweet with a strong and fragrant nutty hazelnut taste and aroma.

Rotisserie butter basted chicken at Marks and Spencers

At some big M&S stores, you will find freshly roasted chicken on a rotisseries and I have been meaning to try it.

The one at Oxford Street was quite good because they have tables to dine in hence I grabbed half a chicken.
To be fair, it had been sitting there for a couple of hours so it was going to be a bit dry so I would definitely recommend trying them earlier on in the day.
Apart from being a bit dry, it was lovely so I definitely imagine it tasting so much nicer if you eat them earlier.

Ordering experience from OCADO

To be honest, I don't really order food from online supermarkets because I prefer physically seeing the items shopping and that impulse buying.
I always thought shopping online would be more expensive because of the service charges and products marked up just like restaurant delivery sites like deliveroo, ubereats etc.
After physically going to the supermarkets, I found that prices were the same if not cheaper.
What I liked about OCADO was that you can get free deliveries and they have all these wonderful times to choose from.
From what might not be ideal for others were ideal for me like late night deliveries which does not disturb your day schedule working and going out.
They also have a green delivery which means they are delivery in your area hence which is good for everyone if they all choose that slot and it is cost effective as well as environmentally friendly.
When you have placed your order, there is a specified time meaning that you can add and remove items if you change your mind but the most important thing is that you have to checkout again or the changes won't be applied.
I found myself changing my order at least 6 times because at first I was not familiar with the website and as I discovered more exclusive brands and items that I could not get else where I added them to the cart before the deadline.
Delivery was on time and the good are sorted into bags because this is how they pack them presumably from different departments.
I couldn't get any photographs because I was frantically trying to takeout all the items and return the bags as they pay you back 10p for them or you will get charged for them.
Overall, I was very satisfied and glad to have used ocado.
The only difference with physically shopping and online is not being able to see it physically so it is best to check the weight of the items so you know roughly the size or you might get a shock when it arrives.
