Chupa Chups Lolly Drops - Strawberry & Cream

When I first saw these Chupa Chups lolly drops, I wasn't sure what they were but it turns out they are similar to cordial where you mix it with water.
At first I thought they were some kind of sweets like pear drops, cherry drops etc as us Brits use the word squash or cordial for drinks.
There are so many flavours like cherry, orange etc but I decided to try Strawberry & Cream.
I was expecting the drink to be bright pink but it was a light pink.
Anyway, the strawberry taste and smell was really nice just like the lolly but I wasn't fond on the sweetness.
However I think they would make good frozen icelollies or ice cubes for drinks.
The good thing is that it is a small bottle so I don't have much to finish off.

Laughing cow Blends - Chickpea and cheese

Just a quick review, the chickpea and cheese was starchy as expected.
Overall it was not bad but tasted like cheesy houmous because of the cumin.
I felt that they were inclined to make it taste that way just like the lentil version with curry but as a curry fan I'd love to try the lentil blend.
The Chinese that eat red beans as desserts and sweet drinks are probably thinking what the hell mixing it with cheese the same way we see their weird liquid desserts with red beans.
[Lentils and red bean flavours available in the US only].
Also in the range is the blue cheese which I plan to try one day.

ASDA raspberry crowns

After trying ASDAs donut selection which contained a custard donut, I didn't have any expectations for the raspberry crowns because it was basically raspberry jam and custard.
The custard was rather bland but the raspberry jam was too sweet for my liking with lots of seeds that were annoying.

ASDA Mixed Donut selection

I love donuts so when I spotted ASDA's donut selection where you get 2 Jam and cream, one chocolate and one custard I just had to try it.
To my surprise, the chocolate one turned out really good because the chocolate cream was similar to the chocolate mousse desserts and it was light and not overly sweet and heavy.
My next favourite was the jam and cream, again it was well balanced and the sweetness of the jam was just right.
The custard turned out to be the least memorable out of the three because the custard filling lacked character and the donut itself was rather plain that neither saved each other.
The chocolate and jam worked because the donut itself was rather plain.

M&S British Broad Beans - Selected Farms

Currently, Marks and Spencers are doing British broad beans as part of the weekly specials for 45p so I grabbed myself a bag.
The beans just reminded me of Jack and the beanstalk as well as wish beans.
I also find it therapeutic just taking the beans outs, in the end I just blanced the beans and had it with salmon.

M&S Taste Thailand Chicken Pad Thai

I am not really a fan of Thai food so didn't have any expectations for this but because it was M&S I had ot give it a go.
It turned out not really my cup of tea because there was a hint of coriander and too much carrots and lacked fish sauce.
The noodles clumped together and break easily which is also the same with the other M&S cook with pad thai product.

M&S "the grill' Sweet chilli chicken drums & thighs

Basically these are Marks and Spencers Sweet chilli chicken drums & thighs in a sweet sticky marinade.
I am not really a fan of sweet savoury things but as it was an M&S brand it can't go wrong.
The chicken looked fresh and they roasted beautifully.
You could tell the quality of chicken was really good and it came off the bone effortlessly.
With most marinated/flavoured meats some companies think they can use lower quality meats because the marinade / flavour can disguise it.
This is why I love @marksandspencerfoodpr because they never compromise anything for quality.
Looking forward to M&S doing other versions like Tandoori or BBQ because I think they would nail it.
