[Review] Sainsbury's Belgian Chocolate Puddings

I love puddings so this time tried Sainsbury's Belgian Chocolate Puddings.
They cost £2.00 for two which is level with Marks and Spencers and Tescos.
Unfortunately the sponge was dry and dense but tasted better with the chocolate sauce it came with.

Lyons cakes sponge puddings - Sticky toffee review

After falling in love with the Lyons cakes cherry bakewell sponge a few days ago, I decided to get the sticky toffee and syrup sponge pudding to review.
I tried the sticky toffee first because it has treacle and syrup according to the ingredients.
As expected the sponge was really nice, it was soft and fluffy which goes well with custard so I can't wait to try the syrup sponge.
I think I am going to like the syrup sponge because it is just simply sponge and syrup compared to the sticky toffee which has dates in it as well.
Overall, Lyons sponge puddings have impressed and fared better than some supermarket brands.

[Review] Oyakata Japanese Curry

Previously tried the Oyakata Japanese Classic and Oyakata Miso ramen which made me fall in love with the Oyakata classic so this time I got the curry.
To my surprise, it is actually nicer than other curry cup noodles because it is not as sweet but you can taste a faint kick of ginger in it.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers smooth chicken liver pate

It's not the first time I had the Marks and Spencers smooth chicken liver pate because it's so delicious that I can eat it on its own or with toast.
The Madeira wine in it makes it tasty.

[Review] Lidl Pappardelle Ritiene

While I was Lidl, I spotted two Italian pastas which are made by Scoiattolo from Italy for Lidl.
However when I went to the Scoiattolo website, it does not mention that you can get their pastas at Lidl but it mentions Sainsburys.
The two pastas definitely aroused my interest to buy as they were not made by Lidl.
One was Pappardelle Ritiene and the other tagliolini with truffle.
It was interesting they both had a long shelf life for at least a month despite being fresh egg pastas.

Anyway, as I have tried tagliolini at various pasta bars in London, I got the Pappardelle Ritiene as not many places sell it.
When I opened the packet you could really smell the truffle.
Before I cooked the pappardelle, I decided to have fun with it and plated it as a star which looked quite nice.
The reason I did it before is that the texture is firm and easier to maneuver

As instructed I simmered the pappardelle ritiene until it was soft and tried it on its own.
The taste of the truffle was really strong so there had to be careful consideration on the sauce that would go with it.
So in the end I just cooked some onions in olive oil and put it in the middle because less is more.
Overall, the pappardelle ritiene is nice but I would prefer it if they did not include the truffle because it was a bit too overwhelming because it was like truffle essence so that is why I give it 4 stars.
I have had freshly shaved truffle before and it was not as strong as the truffle in the pappardelle ritene.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Made Cheddar Cheese & Onion crispbakes

I love crispbakes so got the Marks and Spencers Made Cheddar Cheese & Onion crispbakes.
As expected it was delicious because the filling was cheesy with fluffy potatoes.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Made without wheat Gluten Free Cheese & Onion rolls

I love cheese and onions anything so tried the Marks and Spencers Made without wheat Gluten Free Cheese & Onion rolls.
As with all wheat and gluten free pastries the pastry does not hold well but the filling was good.
