As a fan of crumpets, how could I not get the Marks and Spencers 10 Pulled Ham & Rarebit crumpets which was pull ham and rarebit on top of cute little crumpets!
As expected, each bite was delicious on top of a cute little soft crumpet.
I only tried the McVities Chocolate Cake Bars because they were reduced to 50p. Unfortunately they were too sugar and the cake part was just not cakey at all.
Tried the Tesco Finest Chocolate Cake which was Chocolate sponge cake filled and topped with Belgian milk chocolate ganache buttercream and decorated with Belgian white and dark chocolate curls. The rich chocolate sponge had a smooth milk chocolate ganache buttercream filling.
Overall, it was a rich moist chocolate cake that goes well with tea.
My mum loves Lemon and sultana so I got the Marks and Spencers Bakery Lemon & Sultana Danish which is hand twisted Danish pastry filled with sultanas and layered with lemon custard and finished lemon icing and caramelized lemon shreds. As expected my mum liked it but it was not my cup of tea because I don't like lemon, sultanas and lemon peel!
Randomly tried the Marks and Spencers Made without wheat Gluten Free Pain Aux Raisins which has juicy sultanas and made with vanilla flavour creme patisserie. I didn't have any expectation because gluten free pastries taste different and it wasn't my cup of tea.
I didn't have any expectations for the Cadburys raspberry chocolate cake bar but it was so much nicer than Mcvities version. The cake and fondant was edible but still not my cup of tea though. Not worth the full price but worth trying since it was reduces to 34p at Co op!
