[Review] Sainsburys Taste the Difference Heritage Raspberry & Sherry Trifle

I love Trifle so got the Sainsburys Taste the Difference Heritage Raspberry & Sherry Trifle over Christmas which was a family sized portion.
Smaller pots are also available.

The trifle is basically layers of Heritage raspberry compote, Amontillado sherry-soaked all butter vanilla sponge and Madagascan vanilla custard, topped with sweetened cream.
It was good treat for Christmas but I found it too sweet and overwhelming especially the sweetened cream on top which was a bit waxy.
Top marks for the presentation though with shimmering dust on the cream.

[Review] Tesco Cream Slice

Cream slices are my all time favourite with tea.
Tesco has two type of cream slices, the fresh ones and the frozen one which are sold overseas.
I just love the puff pastry slices filled with cream, strawberry jam.
Some might argue the puff pastry is a bit soft but I'm okay with that as it won't make a mess.
The fondant icing on top is simply delicious.

[Review] Tesco Belgian Chocolate Eclairs

I love eclairs so got the Tesco Belgian Chocolate Eclairs which were soft and fluffy filled with fresh cream.
Definitely a lovely treat anytime.

[Review] McVites Jaffa Cakes 5 Pineapple Cake Bar

I like pineapple so when I heard about the McVites Jaffa Cakes 5 Pineapple Cake Bars I had to get them.

Shortly after that, Pineapple Jaffa Cakes were also launched.

To be honest, I was a bit disappointed with these pineapple cake bars because the pineapple smell was rather artificial and it was so strong that you could smell it through the wrapper without even opening it.
Although I did not like the Pineapple cake bars, I am still going to try the Pineapple Jaffa Cakes because the strawberry jaffa cakes were nice.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Cheese & Onion Quiche

I love quiche so didn't hesitate to get the Marks and Spencers Cheese & Onion Quiche.
Most of their quiches are nice but sadly I haven't reviewed them when I had them before.
Cheese and onion is simply delicious because the red Leicester, mature cheddar and onions in it are in harmony.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Blueberry Hot Cross Buns

My first hot cross buns this year was the Marks and Spencers chili and cheese which was really nice.
Now it was time for a sweet one so got the Marks and Spencers Blueberry Hot Cross Buns which are  jam-packed with blueberries and Vostizza currants.

I was less impressed with the blueberry compared to the other sweet flavours because it was sweet and the blueberry smell was rather artificial yet aromatic.
Overall it was too sweet for my liking.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Aromatic crispy quarter duck & pancakes

I was really glad I got the Marks and Spencers Aromatic crispy quarter duck & pancakes.
Basically you get 6 pancakes, cucumber, spring onions and sauce inside the box.

Getting the duck ready is easy, the duck goes in the over, the cucumber and spring onions need to be chopped and pancakes in the microwave when everything else is done.
It depends how crispy you want the duck so if you want it crispier then leave it in the oven for 25 minutes, otherwise 20 minutes will do.

The duck comes out crispy and aromatic just like the takeaways and the rest complement it deliciously.

Overall, I would really recommend it.

As the duck was good, I tried it again, this time I got the upper half of the duck.

Update October 2020.
You can now get extra Chinese style pancakes at M&S, Slow cooked aromatic duck and the regular aromatic duck with pancakes.
