Lao Jie Kao Duck shit tea roasted peanuts 老街口 鸭屎香茶叶 炒花生

To be honest, I have not heard of duck shit tea until I came accross these peanuts.
The story is that duck shit tea is so sweet and aromatic that they called it duck shit to put people off which makes sense as I do get a sweetness from the peanuts.
Will hopefully get my hands on some duck shit tea leaves to see how aromatic the tea is.

TEMPO Antep Fistik Ezmesi (Pistachio Paste Bar) reviewed

Pistachio is one of my favourite nuts so I had to try this pistachio paste bar.
I was not sure what to expect but it turned out to be a nutty bar that tasted like marzipan which is quite sweet.
The texture was also similar to marzipan which makes sense because marzipan is made with almond meal.
Then you have the savoury flavour of the pistachio nuts that which make it moreish.

NEW Iceland Hash Brown onion rings

I wasn't sure what to expect for these onion rings as I thought they were just ring shaped hash browns but they actually contain onions.
Your fingers literally smell of onions once you've touched them even when they are frozen but in a nice onion way.
I felt that they were so greasy as my fingers were so oily after touching them.
The taste of these onion has brown rings are surprisingly delicious.
You have that crispy exterior with a chew then you have soft fluffy potato as well as onion bits.
Imagine if they put bacon bits as well, the taste would be amazing.
They just need a sunny fried egg to go with it for a delish pairing or stuffed in a bacon bap.

Heinz Beanz filled hash browns from Iceland

Bought the Heinz Beanz filled hash browns because of the hype.
They were not bad but it lacked flavour overall.
The potato hash was tasteless and lacked potato taste and I felt that it was undercooked because it was crunchy like the texture of raw potatoes.
There was not much bean filling in the middle either.

NEW Bliss Bakewell Whip Bars reviewed

[Self paid]
I keep seeing these Bliss bars everwhere made of nougat coated in chocolate.
There are so many flavours, mainly covered in white chocolate or dark chocolate.
Somehow, I just don't get round to buying them because they come in packs of 5.
As a foodie, anything more than 2 is too much as there are so many things to try.
Finally fell for the cherry bakewell flavour only because of the cherry!
The cherry bakewell nougat in the middle was lovely and chewy and you really get that strong cherry flavouring that is not artificial.
There are some crispy bits in the middle.
Overall, they are not bad but it would have worked even better with a dark chocolate coating or yoghurt coating.

Rose, Almond & Pistachio Cake from Cake Stories

Cake Stories are a UK based in Newcastle online cake delivery service dishing up great cakes for everyone.
Their mission is that any vegan or gluten free Cake Stories bake should be so good you can't tell.
I discovered Cake Stories at the Caffe Culture show and tried their Pistachio cake which was heaven.
The pistachio cake described as a gluten-free almond & pistachio sponge, lightly flavoured with rose water, topped with rose and pistachio buttercream and beautiful edible dried rose petals.
It was literally an amazing bake because the pistachio flavours were bold and you can really taste it.
The sweetness was just right and the pistachio buttercream was not too heavy.
Also tried their brownios which look like filled cookies with two layers  of brownie shell with buttercream in the middle.
The raspberry chocolate one was simply rich and lush with a lovely raspberry twist to it.

OREO Twists Lab popup/pop up

Oreos were doing a pop up at Old Compton Road featuring their new Oreo twists at the Oreo Twists Lab so I went along to try their new oreos.
As well as free Oreos up for grabs they had customization booths to get your personalized merch like Tshirts, water bottles etc.
After trying the vanilla caramel and vanilla raspberry, I felt that the vanilla caramel tasted much better while the vanilla raspberry was a little sweet for my liking.
The original oreo is basically like a rich cocoa biscuit or bourbon with vanilla cream in the middle.
