La Fermière marron

The chestnut yoghurt was contained in a pretty glass jar and at the bottom there was a thin layer of chestnut puree.

The yoghurt had a lovely tart taste while the sweet starchy chestnut puree at the bottom balanced the tartness of the yoghurt.
It had nice tones of vanilla with visible vanilla seeds in it.

Some of the desserts in the range are contained in pretty ceramic jars such as the creme delice series.

PRETZ Tom Yum Kung

Thanks to Lemon Tea for these delicious Tom Yum Kung flavoured PRETZ sticks by Glico in Thailand.

The flavour of these were intense and savory, with hints of lemon, lemongrass and they were quite spicy too with a spicy aftertaste.
The hint of lemon was the best with visible herbs on the Pretz sticks.
After eating half the packet, my tastebuds became accustomed to the spices and they smelt and tasted like the savory lemon puffs by the Garden brand.

Microwaved taro

I love taro but it seems too bothersome to cook because it is similar to a potato where you have to peel off the skin.
What's worse is that the Taro skin is muddy and uneven.

Just for fun I microwaved dry it to see if it was a possible solution.

After microwaving it for 6 minutes, the results were quite good, the skin on the outside became dry and separated from the taro and it was easy to peel off.
However some parts of the taro were really dry, but the moist part was edible.
(For bigger taros, longer microwaving time may be required.)
I ate them plain, so there was not much taste but the texture was quite viscous.
For more flavouring, I am just going to add salt next time and maybe I will try turn it over halfway through and then microwave it again to see if it helps reduce the dryness.

Hephzibah strawberry slices

Thanks to Ivy for getting me these freeze dried strawberry slices.
Interestingly they are Korean.
I had the illusion they were from Israel or the middle east because the brand is called Hephzibah which sounds Middle eastern and in the middle east, there are lots of dried fruit produces because of the climate.

The strawberry slices were crispy and the taste was really impressive because it was natrually sour which meant there were no artificial sweeteners.

The smell of fresh strawberries could be smelt from the slices.

elit Choco spoons

In the box, there three milk chocolate ones and three dark chocolate ones.

I tried them on its own and they were quite sweet, but after melting it in dark coffee, it acted as a nice sweetener with a slight hint of chocolate in the coffee.
I also tried melting it in tea too which was nice.

Chocolate and pecan popcorn

The popcorn had a lovely crisp caramelised shell that had a gorgeous buttery taste, and the pieces of chocolate and pecan gave it that extra delicious touch!

Strawberry and white chocolate popcorn

I loved the packaging for this one, especially the metallic pink letters against the matt brown packet.
The taste was just as good as the chocolate pecan popcorn but the pieces of strawberry worked like magic and gave it a fruitful strawberrytastic twist!

Fizzy floats with Haagen Daz

Coke with Vanilla Haagen Daz:

The coke and vanilla Haagen Daz tasted really nice and I preferred mixing vanilla icecream with coke instead of chocolate because chocolate does not taste so good.

Cream soda with vanilla Haagen Daz:

The pairing of cream soda and vanilla HD was a bit too sweet~
