New Bounty mini eclairs and Galaxy caramel profiteroles from Iceland

I was delighted to discover these new bounty eclairs and galaxy profiteroles which I had to try.

Th bounty mini eclairs were the best ingenious invention ever.

Absolutely delicious bite sized eclairs in a crackling chocolate dusted with coconut filled with dreamy light cream.

I didn't have any expectations for the Galaxy caramel profiteroles because they seem on the sweet side with the caramel and I was right.

It was nice but somehow, I felt the caramel stole the show from the Galaxy chocolate.

MANDY Vegetal Original (Veggie Pate) 200g (Romanian)

Seriously tasty vegetable pate by Mandy foods, a Romanian product.
It was a bit salty but the white pepper taste was really good.
Again interesting texture which was somewhat like pate but much softer and hard to describe.

gran luchito refried beans

I love refried beans so was delighted to try these gran luchito refried beans.

The pouch was well filled and you get quite a big portion in there.

Instructions are simple, you just microwave it.

Adding some cheddar when you heat it up makes it so delicious.

Compared to the ones I had at the restaurant, I felt that this was healthier because it was less salty and does not contain MSG.

It also tastes fab on toast as well as the Mexican way with nachos and chilli con carne.

innocent exotic energise smoothie

Unusual smoothie combo with lychee, dragonfruit and apple so I gave it a go.

The colour was different too and reminded me of Calpol!
I was quite annoyed the lychee flavour didn't come through as one of the main ingredients.
The only prominent taste was apple.
If I wanted apple, I would have bought an apple drink.

Tesco Battered sushi rolls

Party snacks are now out at every supermarket!

Tescos have these battered sushi rolls which I had to try, they are basically fluffy rice topped with marinated salmon or white fish and coated in crispy batter.

This product has definitely whipped up a storm and even made its way into Asian groups who are condemning it.

Technically, sushi involves raw fish but the salmon or white fish is cooked.

Overall, I felt that the battered sushi rolls were delicious, although labelled as battered sushi, the ingredients and taste is nothing like sushi.

Think of it as a Italian Fish arrancini or warm fluffy rice with chilli and lime topped with flakey fish in a crispy batter, it is actually nice and it doesn't need any other sauces as it is tasty already.

The quality of the fish turned out quite nice, it wasn't too dry nor was it overcooked especially the salmon but personally I liked the white fish.

I just felt that the chilli was too spicy and over powered everything.

Hungarian Csiga Teszta / CsigaTeszta noodles

Spotted some interesting pasta so I had to get them.
I was captivated by them because they look like butter curls from a knife and not quite like bird feet as illustrated.
After doing some googling, I discovered that they were Hungarian Csiga Teszta noodles which are tiny egg noodles that are rolled into snail-shaped spirals with a special stick and scored on a grooved slab called a csiga board.
Initially I thought they would be great in a clear chicken soup and it turns out this is exactly how the Hungarians cook it.

In the end, I cooked it in clear chicken broth with lots and lots of parsley and they turned out comforting as expected.

Quirky Monkey hot chocolate

The Magic mushrooms from the East have finally reached the west and many companies have discovered the super benefits to health they have.
There are different mushrooms like reishi, lion maine, maca and cordeceps etc.
Most of these are coffee makers which add them in the drinks.
As a non coffee drink, I was really pleased to discover Quirky Monkey had hot chocolate.
The drink isn't sweetened which was good so you can taste what its like as well as decide on how much sugar you want to add.
As a foodie I was curious about the taste.
Tastes wise, it is bitter like coffee but pleasant to drink.
I'm so glad I got to try this and hope to try dirtea in future to compare.
