KABUTO Mac N cheese!

If you have seen this brand before they basically do noodles where you just add water.
As a mac and cheese fan, I got this to try as it was quite different to their regular Asian inspired range.
Although, the Mac N Cheese was seriously good the instructions defeat the purpose of being a convenience product.
The taste of this was creamy yet full of umami which you don't or shouldn't get from mac and cheese but it was oddly nice, it was like American style mac with a bit of msg/chicken powder kick to it.
Anyway, back to the instructions which seriously need a rant!!
There were at 6 steps to follow so it is not as straight forward as adding water or slapping it in the microwave/oven.
To be honest, I didn't expect it needed the microwave!
It was so annoying you had to put it in the microwave, let it stand, stir, microwave again, let it stand again before you could eat it!
I was so hungry and impatient, I ended up eating other stuff to forget about it and something I cooked in the halogen oven was ready before the bloody mac.

Tesco Limited Edition Ham & Eggs Benedict sandwich

A tasty sandwich with boiled egg slices, spinach and ham!
It tasted really similar to the truffled egg and ham sandwich from M&S without the spinach leaves.
Would have liked one more slice of ham to be so that it would be in the same ratio as the spinach and egg.

Ding Dong Dim Sum

As well as colourful dim sum offered at the restaurants, you can now have them in the comfort of your home from Ding Dong Dim Sum.
After trying them, I felt that they were the same as the ones at Baoziinn 人民公社.
Either Ding Dong Dim Sum and Baoziinn get it from the same supplier or either one are the makers of these colourful dim sums because both colours and flavours are the same.

Spread and Besserts aka dessert pots at Original Kitchen

Came across Original Kitchen in 2020 when they had a stall in London with all these cashew based spreads and sweet treats.
Three years later, their dessert range has gone to the next level with all these choices for dessert pots.
The savoury ones can be used as spreads or stirred into pasta for a creamy sauce.
Starting on the spreads, there were creamy pesto, creamy mushroom and creamy tomato.
All were nice in different ways, the creamy mushroom had a nice hint of dill and strong earthy mushroom in it, while the pesto was nice and fresh with sweetness because of the peas and courgettes.
I found the spreads comforting as it was a bit like baby food with flavour.
It is interesting that both sweet and savoury contain Rosemary extracts which does not add any taste/aroma to it like cashew.
The besserts were a delight with Chocolate, mango passion and lemon.
They are called besserts on the concept better-for-you dessert
The chocolate was like a rich ganache, while the mango tasted like a fresh mango in dessert form and the lemon was really comforting and reminded me of the M&S lemon desserts which I can't remember the name because I don't think they do it now but they were in glass pots.
To summarize, the texture of the desserts were thick like ganache with a starchy gritty texture.
Overall, I really liked their spreads and desserts and glad to see their new and exciting offerings.
Thank you Original Kitchen for sending them over to me.

Lay's Lobster Crisps

Unfortunately the taste did not deliver, there was no seafood or even a strong prawn taste.
However, there was a slight prawn smell to it.

Mariani Game Kangaroo Jerky

Finally tried some Kangeroo game jerky.
Basically tastes the same as Asian jerky but not as sweet.
It didn't have any gamey taste like biltong.

Batchelors Pasta n sauce: tomato, onions and herbs

Bought this pasta pack a while ago but didn't try it until down because it takes a long time to cook compared to other things.
I bought this because the pasta shapes were rather different.
Decided to use the microwave method which was so much convenient and almost effortless.
I felt that it tastes the same as the soup but a bit too sweet!!
