LiLK oat rice - The common Blend

Discovered this LiLK at the food fair.
LiLK has two drinks in the range, oat rice and the lush with coconut and quinoa.
Overall, I felt that the oat rice tasted nicer because it has the best of both worlds with the sweetness of the rice and the balanced by the oats which gives it a sweet malty taste.
The coconut quinoa is not bad but it has a coconut taste to it so it really depends if you mind having a coconut taste just like soya.

BARR Cream Soda

I love the BARR brand because it is comforting seeing this sold overseas especially when you are missing UK.
Anyway, the cream soda taste when it hits your tongue is very comforting and tastes like ice cream however the aftertaste of the artificial sweetness is not that pleasant.
Overall, not bad for the once in a while drink.

PIMP My Salad plant based parm cheez

I came accross Pimp my salad at various trade shows where it is showcased as a salad topper like bacon bits or added as flavourings to crisps.
The base is made with nutritional yeast, sunflower seeds and salt.
Overall, I felt that they are quite tasty on their own and instead of adding to pasta, soups, salad as suggested, I added it to porridge which tasted amazing.

HAPPY inside pomegranate lime + mint

I was quite surprised by how tasty this drink was coming from a can and the taste was quite close to freshly squeezed pomegranate juice.
It was quite punchy as stated with a mild mint aftertaste.

Healthspan Elite black forest gateau flavour plant protein bar (vegan)

Healthspan Elite plant based HiLo Black forest protein bar.
I found the protein base quite similar to other protein bars with that usual hard chewy texture like dehydrated nougat, however it was not as chalky as other protein bars.
I like the way it has a layer of cherry on top with some light crispy bits here and there.
As well as protein bars, healthspan Elite also do energy gels which I shall try soon.

Asda Limited edition spiced apple muffins!

Finally got them because not all stores stock it!!!
Visually it is a muffin sliced horizontally filled with apple puree and custard.
It looked promising because you can see lots of specks in the muffin meaning that it is heavily spiced.
The cinnamon they used was to my liking hence I found the taste comforting and it tasted similar to horchata along with the apple puree which is the key to being an apple muffin.
Evidently the texture of the muffin is firm enough to be sliced horizontally unlike American muffins which bloody disintegrate and crumble after taking a bite.
I admit it was a little dry but overall, it was pleasing in terms of taste and not being too sweet.

Mr Kipling plum, pear and cinnamon pies

The combination of plum, pear and cinnamon sound fantastic so I thought I'd give these a try.
The spiced one last year were horrible.
Apart from the soft pastry, the filling was good. I felt that the plum and pear somehow was in the form of the sauce but visually you could only see chunks of apple as well as feel it in the crunch.
In terms of presentation I liked the way the pie top had double stars.
Although the pastry was too soft, I loved the filling which was full of apple pieces and cinnamon in taste.
