PIMP My Salad plant based parm cheez

I came accross Pimp my salad at various trade shows where it is showcased as a salad topper like bacon bits or added as flavourings to crisps.
The base is made with nutritional yeast, sunflower seeds and salt.
Overall, I felt that they are quite tasty on their own and instead of adding to pasta, soups, salad as suggested, I added it to porridge which tasted amazing.

HAPPY inside pomegranate lime + mint

I was quite surprised by how tasty this drink was coming from a can and the taste was quite close to freshly squeezed pomegranate juice.
It was quite punchy as stated with a mild mint aftertaste.

Healthspan Elite black forest gateau flavour plant protein bar (vegan)

Healthspan Elite plant based HiLo Black forest protein bar.
I found the protein base quite similar to other protein bars with that usual hard chewy texture like dehydrated nougat, however it was not as chalky as other protein bars.
I like the way it has a layer of cherry on top with some light crispy bits here and there.
As well as protein bars, healthspan Elite also do energy gels which I shall try soon.

Asda Limited edition spiced apple muffins!

Finally got them because not all stores stock it!!!
Visually it is a muffin sliced horizontally filled with apple puree and custard.
It looked promising because you can see lots of specks in the muffin meaning that it is heavily spiced.
The cinnamon they used was to my liking hence I found the taste comforting and it tasted similar to horchata along with the apple puree which is the key to being an apple muffin.
Evidently the texture of the muffin is firm enough to be sliced horizontally unlike American muffins which bloody disintegrate and crumble after taking a bite.
I admit it was a little dry but overall, it was pleasing in terms of taste and not being too sweet.

Mr Kipling plum, pear and cinnamon pies

The combination of plum, pear and cinnamon sound fantastic so I thought I'd give these a try.
The spiced one last year were horrible.
Apart from the soft pastry, the filling was good. I felt that the plum and pear somehow was in the form of the sauce but visually you could only see chunks of apple as well as feel it in the crunch.
In terms of presentation I liked the way the pie top had double stars.
Although the pastry was too soft, I loved the filling which was full of apple pieces and cinnamon in taste.

MOR50/50 sausages

In the past few months, we have seen so many previously meaty things with vegetables added like sausages, patties and meatball.
MOR50/50 specializes in it too and I got my hands on some sausages with tomato.
As well as tomato, you can also get Bramley apple and spinach.
The sausages were similar to meat and veg sausages that Tescos did filled with beans.
Overall they were tasty but a tad to spicy and salty for my liking and I would have liked the tomato to be stronger as it is mentioned in the label.

Tescos finest Christmas pudding flavour crisps

Like I said, what goes around comes around in different supermarkets and brands.
This year, Tescos have come out with the Christmas pudding flavour crisps.
Having tried Walkers Mince Pie crisps I had to try the Tescos Christmas pudding as well which is not quite the same but with mince pies and Christmas pudding there are somethings in common.
There was definitely a sweet cinnamon smell from these crisps just like the Walkers mince pies crisps but the taste was slightly different.
You could really taste a light sweetness and strong cinnamon but then you get the taste of the potato crisps coming through.
The texture of these crisps have a hard crunch just like Tyrells.
Overall, the crisps weren't bad but I doubt I will finish the rest because I don't like the hard crunch texture.
