Snacksters Doner Kebab

I have always wanted to try Snacksters but have been holding back because the ones at Iceland are ffrozen.
When I saw the ones at Poundland which were in the chilled section and only required 1 minute in the microwave I decided to finally buy them.
Described as sliced doner meat in a soft flatbread with a sachet of chilli sauce.
Sadly, there was no sachet of chilli sauce in the bag.
The doner slices looked like uniform slices of ham but after heating in the microwave, they looked the part in terms of colour and texture.
Overall, the doner slices were quite tasty if not better as they were not gritty with that usual salty kick however I felt I didn't get the full experience with the chilli sauce missing.

Snickers almond butter bar

Spotted these Snickers almond butter bars at the newsagent.
There are 2 squares inside.
I found them very sweet and couldn't taste any almond or almond butter.
The so called almond butter part was rather waxy and doesn't really melt in your mouth.
Rather disappointing and pricey.

Swizzels rhubarb custard chews

I am not really a sweets person but the Swizzels rhubarb custard chews was seriously comforting and moreish!
It's been ages since I've had penny sweets.
There was no weird aftertaste or artifcial sweetness.

Quaker heavenly oats - chocolate orange & caramel fudge

I love flavoured oats because this is the only way to make me eat oats.
Strangely when I posted these new heavenly oats I got many disgusted comments.
For the new Quaker's heavenly oats series there is chocolate & orange and caramel fudge so I bought both.

As well as sweet oats I have also tried the Asian savoury Quakers oats which is similar to savoury porridge.
It was really hard deciding which flavour to try first so I decided to save best to last and try orange which I am not so fond of.
There are dark chocolate chips in the pot which melt when you add hot water.
The taste of this porridge was really good and totally made my day as it was so indulgent without being too sweet yet the orange was well balanced.
The orange flavouring was light and natrual so it was in harmony.

The next day I tried the fudge which was also sweet and heavenly but in a different way.
It was more of a caramel sweetness with chewy bits of sugary fudge.
There was a buttery hint and taste to the oats.
For both flavours, the oats had this lovely thick, sticky chew to it.
Overall, I loved these sweet oat treats although you could add sweet things yourself.
I was inspired to add something to the fudge and so added some caramilk which really took it to the next level so I think I will buy more oats in the future and add some fancy things into it.

Noodl Plus noodles - Beetroot with harissa and Charcoal noodles with mushrooms

I got the Noodl Plus noodles quite a while ago on ocado when they were quite pricey but haven't had time to write about them until now.
The good news is that you can now get them at Heron foods at 59p per pot so in a way they are not as expensive as they used to be.
I got the beetroot and charcoal noodles which are both very stunning when they are ready to eat.
As well as visually looking good they both contain lots of chunky veg in it.

The beetroot noodles have dried green and white cabbage, purple sweet potato and red onions but I found the harissa broth too spicy but otherwise the noodles were amazing.

As for the charcoal with epic mushrooms, this flavour was more to my liking.
It had mushrooms, cauliflower florets and bouncy spring onions.
The broth was strong and earthy which went well with the charcoal noodles.

Krispy Kreme vegan caramel iced doughnut

Most doughnuts are vegan and so many bakeries offer vegan doughnuts so it makes sense for Krispy Kreme to offer a bigger range of vegan doughnuts.
Earlier this year, I tried apple crumble which was vegan and now they have these glazed rings which are vegan with strawberry and caramel.
I tried the caramel and it was so much nicer than anticipated. Firstly it was soft and pillowly and there was no bad oil taste to it.
Secondly, the taste was good so will definitely be getting this again when I fancy something simple.

vkusnasha - mit Waffelkruemel in kakaohaltiger Fettglasur

vkusnasha is a Ukrainian sweet where they also have sunflower seed halva which is interesting.
The one I tried was Sweets with Waffle Crumbles.
It was chocolate coated and the filling had a crispy gritty texture and it didn't quite melt in your mouth.
Overall not bad but I wouldn't buy it.
