Turban squash

The turban squash is quite a fascintating vegetable because it looks like a pumpkin and a squash fused together but it seems that it is real!

Re-creating Iceland Foods Chicken tikka Yorkshire pudding from 2013

After seeing all these giant Yorkshire puddings at Iceland filled with mac n cheese, cottage pies etc, I thought I'd do a similar thing with chicken tikka.
In turns out that Iceland already did this in 2013 and it was only a pound!
However the cost of making mine was triple because I had to buy the chicken tikka masala and Yorkshire pudding.

Longkou bean thread vermicelli

I love vermicelli because there are so many noodle dishes you make do with it.
Recently, I was inspired by the itsu chicken noodle soup which uses the bean thread vermicelli aka glass noodles / crystal noodles.
As well as replicating the itsu soup, I also had it in pickled beetroot soup.

M&S Rosa Verde Salad mix & Baby Leaf Salad

The Rosa Verde salad was a good mix of green leaves for a hand shredded back bacon salad.
All the leaves were fresh and lush.

M&S British Summer Lettuce (select farms)

Last summer I saw some pretty British summer lettuce at Marks and Spencers so I decided to get it.
The lettuce is similar to butter lettuce but softer and it has a dark purple leaf tip.
I used it for a burrata cheese salad which looked really nice.
Overall, the lettuce tasted like butter lettuce without the creaminess followed by a grassy kick.

Tesco Greek style with coconut

I love alternative yoghurts and the Greek style with coconut was more palatable because it was sweet and coconutty yet thick like regular Greek yoghurt.

Tesco for beef gravy granules

Not a bad gravy from Tesco but Bisto gravy is meatier and moreish in taste.
