Regent's canal walk from Paddington basin to Limehouse basin

I have always wanted to do the Regent's canal walk where you can walk from Paddington to Limehouse.
The Limehouse side of the walk was more enjoyable for me having lived in Mile End and studied at QM because you can just walk from Limehouse passing Mile End park and the uni by the halls.
On the way you pass Victoria park as well as Haggerston.
The Paddington end is more modern and colourful while it is fun to be able to walk from Camden to Kings Cross.
Here are some pictures from the walk.
Note that the canal gets interrupted from Islington so you have to walk over to Angel somewhere to re-connect.

Maggi Chicken Curry & Sweet Chilli Dinner for two

Spotted these Maggi instant noodles for two at Home Bargains, there were two flavours: Sweet chilli and Chicken curry.

As a noodle fan I got the chicken curry.
It was nice to start off with but the sweetness bothered me just like Indomie.
Rating: 3/5

Origin Kitchen nut spreads

I love nut spreads and houmous so when I discovered these cashew based spreads by Origin Kitchen I knew I would like them because Cashew is one of my favourite nuts when it comes to non dairy milk.
Cashew milk is the best because it is creamy just like regular milk so it makes sense to use it to make indulgent spreads like chocolate and white chocolate.
With other nuts like almond and hazelnut milks, the nut flavour is more prominent so you really have to like those nuts.
The indulgent chocolate spread was really decadent and smooth which would taste really good on toast or a bagel.
As for their savoury spreads, they had a starchy texture but you get more flavour because there is a less beany taste to it than chickpeas and soybeans.
My favourite was the mushroom & dill spread because you don't often see this pairing.
The basil pesto had a cheesy taste and was similar to the basil pesto houmous in the shop but without the chickpea taste.
The sundried tomato one was another good one because tomato has these delicious umami flavours.
They also had cashew banana and maple butter which was really nutty and wholesome so I definitely recommend these cashew spreads if you see them.

Ed' Diner treats exclusives at Iceland

As a fan of Ed's Diner, I had to try the Iceland exclusives because some of the items are not on the restaurant menu. The mac and cheese burger with bacon was one of them.
I thought it was going to be a simple process of slapping it in the microwave but no it wasn't.

First you had to defrost the mac and cheese by putting it in a bowl of boiling water but by the time the burger is ready the mac is still partially frozen so I reheated it in the microwave as well delaying the time to eat.

The way the burger was packaged was not good, the bacon was stuck to the bun so when you remove the bacon, you end up ripping it. I think Ed's Diner made a point!

You are better off dining at their restaurants!

The instructions also suggest toasting the bun but the bun is stuck together so you have to force it apart.

As for the taste, it was quite good but a bit too salty. The patty which is made of chicken and beef tasted like the burgers at school but the only complaint was that it contained grounded bones and chewy bits which was disappointing for something that is branded.

There was quite a bit of oil coming from the burger patty which you don't get from Rustlers.

Honestly, I thought the quality was going to be better than Rustlers but no it wasn't.

I have been meaning to try Snacksters which is supposed to be like McDonalds in frozen form but didn't because it is frozen unlike Rustlers but perhaps I should now to see how it fares with Ed's since it is cheaper.

Other products in the Ed's Easy Diner range at Iceland!
Double decker, chocolate sauce waffle, smoky joe, chilli dog, cheese & tomato pizza, BBQ chicken bites, classic hotdog, chicken cheese bacon burger.
