Celeriac root
Celeriac is basically the root of a celery.
M&S Chunky Tartare Sauce
As a fan of the M&S chip shop range I had to try their tartare sauce.
It turned out to amazing!
The tartare sauce was creamy yet punchy unlike other brands which are either too acidic or just lacking character.
I didn't have any fish that day so I had it with some smoked salmon on top of some a Sheldon bottom muffin which was heavenly.
It would also taste good on a bagel too if you like the chew.

M&S Sesame Prawn Toasts
Again, I love trying the Chinese at Marks and Spencers, this time I got the sesame prawn toasts which just looked appealing in the box with spring onions that give it that colour contrast.
As expected it was just as good if not better than Chinese takeaway quality.

There was a nice prawny taste as well as the spring onions.

M&S Chicken Madras
I love the curries at Marks and Spencers so got the Chicken Madras as I have not tried the M&S onee before.
According to the sleeve, the chicken madras is Spicy tomato, coconut & curry leaf sauce with tender pieces of marinated chargrilled chicken.
To my surprise, it was very spicy as labelled and tasted similar to the Chicken Jalfrezi.

M&S Beef Bolognese with Italian Egg Tagliatelle
Marks &Spencer have launched a new range of pastas with an amazing choice.
The best thing is that the range offers restaurant range pastas like parppadelle, giglio etc.
The first one I tried was the 'Nduja meatballs with egg parppadelle which was really comforting.
As expected, I really enjoyed so I knew I was going to like the Beef Bolognese tagliatelle.

The ragu made with beef and pork was really tasty with the saltiness from the pancetta.
Overall, another tasty pasta that was filling as the tagliatelle hung the ragu well.
It seems that this could possibly be the same pasta in the Little Italy range with a different sleeve?

Lidl Vitasia Dim Sum
As Lidl were doing the taste of Asia theme, I went in to get the pineapple & coconut lassi, Vitasia tofu with vegetables marinade and Dim Sum selection.
The pineapple & coconut lassi and tofu were to my liking.
Last but not least, I tried the dim sum selection which I didn't expect to be good because at the store you could that the dim sum had a lot of water in them as they had lots of ice particles on it.

I only microwaved one of each as I didn't expect it to be good.
Anyway, it only took 1 minute in my 900W microwave.
Any longer and it will be like hard plastic!!
The prawn dumpling (hacao) and shumai (shaomai) were ok but the gyoza was dry and chewy.
To conclude, the M&S dim sum was much nicer and they were both manufactured in Vietnam.

M&S Soy ginger and wasabi cured salmon with zingy ponzu dip
The Soy ginger and wasabi cured salmon with zingy ponzu dip appealed to me as I felt that it was Japanese inspired.
The cured salmon was flavourful which worked well with the thick refreshing ponzu dip.
Overall really good but I found a small bone on each slice so be careful!!
