MOM Meal of the Moment convenience meals

As a restaurant and snack reviewer, I am always searching for new things to review.
MOM products aroused my interest as they were Indian convenience foods.
The packaging and everything looked good with so many things that you usually order from the restaurant like upma etc.
Here are my finds so far and I shall be trying them soon.

I ended up buying the veggie upma, POHA, Chinese fried rice and the Matar pulao.

Upma is a popular Indian breakfast which is a savory porridge made with semolina, water and veggies. I have always wanted to try this but couldn't because Indian restaurants do not open for breakfast. Finally found an instant version by MOM where you just add water. It was interesting because it reminded me of semolina pudding at school but with a savoury and spicy taste. It was savoury and quite spicy but rather bland. As well as vegetables, there were also cashew nuts. Before you eat, there is an optional sachet of bhujia which you can put in. It is suitable for the Jain diet as there are no onions or garlic.
It comes with a matching green spoon.

POHA is flattened rice, another breakfast dish which I have always wanted to try.
I loved the texture which is similar to congee but much more solid so it is more filling however I felt that it lacked some dimenson in taste as it needed some meat or something like that.

The next meal I tried was the Matar Pulao rice which takes 8 minutes after you add hot water.
Again you get a nice orange matching spoon.
In the tub, you get some pickles.
The taste and texture of the rice was really good, it was fluffy and soft.
Before adding the pickles, you get a lovely spice but when you mix the pickles in, the taste is much better as it makes the rice moreish.
The pickles had a nice salty and sour kick but there was an interesting aroma to it.

Last but not least was the Chinese fried rice.
Overall it was good but I found it quite spicy but once you get used to the spices, the fried rice is really delicious.

After browsing the MOM website, the range for instant meals is incredible and they even have Mexican rice as well as Chinese Fried Rice, Veg Biryani, Red Thai Curry, Japanese Katsu Curry Rice, Poha, Veggie Upma, Khatta Meetha Poha, Matar Pulao, Masala Upma, Dal Chawal.

Veggie twist and Peppy Tomato by Saffola Masala Oats

I thought I was weird mixing chicken powder into oats to get a savoury porridge but on a recent trip to an Indian grocery store I discovered Masala oats by Saffola so I shall be trying them soon.

I ended up getting the veggie Masala oats and they were surprisingly good, they reminded me of Quaker's hokkaido crab oats but with a spicy kick.
Overall, they were delicious as expected because I just love savoury porridge.
After browsing their website I discovered that they had 10 other flavours which I also hope to get my hands on.
I like the idea of the Italian twist with oregano and the lemon one as well as mint chutney!

Also tried the peppy tomato which was quite similar in taste but with a hint of tomato.
Both flavours were quite salty.

M&S UHT temptingly chocolately cream

When this UHT chocolate cream came out, I was so tempted to get it because the canister just looked good with the pink and brown.
Now it is only costs 1.50 because it is now a market special so I had to get it.
I am so glad I got it because it makes everything taste better and it does not add an extra sweetness.
So many things have been made heavenly and I have had so much fun with this cream.
The only thing is that I broke the nozzle by accident on first use.
Overall a must get!
Hopefully, they will do a salted caramel one in future.

Finishing the last disgusting jonut with chocolate cream.
[Glad they were individually wrapped as I got rid of two jonuts by giving them away.]
It actually tasted nice but then its really the cream that was nice.
You know it is the last of your cream when it spits out everywhere!

Lidl Meadow Fresh Chilli & Garlic Olives

Another surprisingly product from Lidl!
It was a pot of chilli and garlic olives so of course there would be chilli and garlic in it but the surprise was the whole chilli and big chunks of garlic!
Overall, a tasty and addictive snack.

Lion Wild Sweet & Salty bar by Nestle Poland

Spotted the Lion Wild sweet and salty so I just assumed it was another salted caramel lion described as sweet and salty.
Physically the bar felt smaller and flat inside the wrapper.
When I took it out, it looked very different to the regular lion with just the base covered in chocolate with the crispies visible.
As for the taste, it was like eating a lion bar with peanut butter.
Overall peanut butter fans will love this.
Note that this is the Polish version.
