McVities Dessert inspired slices

Earlier last year, we saw strawberry cheesecake and lemon drizzle digestives and now you can get dessert inspired slices in these flavours as well.

Lidl Italiamo Tomato gnocchi

I love gnocchi so decided to give Lidl a chance with their tomato gnocchi.

When I opened the packet, the tomato aroma was similar to tomato packet soups.

As it boiled in the water, the liquid became quite gooey so overall not bad but I probably won't get these again.

As well as lidl, Rana also does flavoured gnocci.

Lidl Eridanous Musky Octopus & Spicy Octopus

I love octopus so ended up getting some canned octopus featured for Greek week at Lidl.

There were two choices, spicy and plain octopus in soy oil so I got both to try.

The plain octopus wasn't bad, you could taste the octopus but I think it needed some salt which is easily done but the texture was a bit mushy.

The spicy octopus on the other hand was tastier but again would taste better in the form of a paella.

Overall not bland but a bit overpriced.

M&S Marks Spencer buttermilk pikelets

Pikelets look like pancakes with crumpet holes and some people say they are like flat crumpets.

I found them similar to pancakes but without the sweetness so I had them with some chocolate cream by warming it in the microwave for a few seconds.

A popular way of eating them is with cream and jam.

Toasting them were the best as they were like light crumpets and they were amazing with ham and English mustard.

M&S Marks Spencer Victoria Blackberries

Victoria blackberries are the sweetest blackberries you can find, they are twice the size of regular blackberries and are heavily sweet and soft.

I am so glad I tried them.
