Again, M&S have used the successful [mock chicken] pea protein as used in their other plant kitchen series.
I knew the no chicken nuggets was going to be good without even trying it because it uses the same pea protein as the no chicken tikka and sweet and sour no chicken.
The nuggets were tender chunks of pea protein coated in a crispy farmhouse crumb.
Although, I knew it was not chicken I still smelled it and it strangely it did have a chicken nugget smell to it but perhaps it was the coating.
Anyway, the texture was really convincing but it needed a strong sauce just like regular chicken nuggets so I used the M&S Yakisoba sauce which were a match made in heaven.
I love Peking duck with pancakes so decided to try Sainsburys take on so that I could compare it to the takeaways and the M&S version. With the Sainsburys one, you get shredded duck meat which is what the label says.
Basically, the taste relied on the sauce as it was plain shredded duck meat.
Overall, I did not like it because the sauce being the star of the show was just too sweet.
I ended up using a different sauce as I didn't like the given sauce.
Most celebrity and branded items can disappoint but Mary Berry's chocolate cake lives up to her name.
The Mary Berry Indulgent Chocolate Cake is layered with a rich chocolate ganache buttercream and hand decorated with Belgian chocolate curls. The chocolate cake was spot on in terms of texture and taste without being too heavy. As for the chocolate frosting, it was smooth and velvety which beats those nasty sugary waxy frostings and chocolate cakes that taste too sweet yet lack chocolate taste. You can definitely taste the goodness with quality ingredients.
I also paired it with some whipped chocolate squirty cream from M&S and it was chocgasmic! The other Raspberry Ripple cake by MB is also flawless.
Axe throwing is the trend in Canada and the USA and it is now getting popular in the UK.
Before lockdown I had planned to go to one in Central London. Now you can go axe throwing in Croydon located at Box Park.
The Bad Axe Throwing group is the world's biggest urban axe throwing club.
Their mission is to bring the thrill of a traditional Canadian backyard pastime to urban communities.
With the help of their talented axe throwing coaches, hundreds of thousands of people have been able to share our passion for throwing axes.
They pride themselves in delivering outstanding customer service to all of their clients whether it's for walk-ins, leagues, private parties and team building events.
Bad Axe Throwing was founded by CEO Mario Zelaya in the fall of 2014. Mario is based in southern Ontario, therefore the first doors we opened were in Burlington, Ontario.
In just a few years, they've expanded across Canada and the United States with over 40 locations!
Here are some pictures at Bad Axe Throwing and I will be updating this soon with my experience.
Lockdown is over so time to go airsoft shooting again.
At Alpha guns, it is an indoor Airsoft shooting range, whether you are a complete beginner or just want to try something different. Their extensive and constantly changing selection of Rifles, SMGs and Pistols means you will always see something new to try!
They have various packages which includes rifles and guns but as a gun girl I requested for gun only and they were happy to accommodate.
I enjoyed the electronic targets which can be adjusted according to how well you shoot.
Overall, I had an amazing experience so will definitely go again.
