M&S Smoked Ham & Mustard Mayonnaise Sandwich on Soft Oatmeal Bread

I love sandwiches so this time got the M&S Smoked Ham & Mustard Mayonnaise Sandwich on Soft Oatmeal Bread.

The smoked ham was really strong but the smoke was a bit too dry for my liking.

Moryn Pickled Whole Mushrooms review

To be honest, I have never seen pickled mushrooms until a recent trip to ASDA.

These pickled mushrooms labelled as Pieczarki marynowane were really delicious and the mushrooms didn't have an unpleasant earthy taste.

So overall, I was really impressed and couldn't stop eating them.

alpro pistachio mousse plant based review

Spotted the new alpro plant based pistachio mousse at Tescos so had to give it a try because you don't often get pistachio flavours in English desserts.

The pistachio wasn't as intense as hoped because if you've had pistachio gelato then you know how strong the flavours can get.

Overall worth trying.

Aldi Easter 2021 find

The Easter range this year is pretty much the same as last year except for the huge dragon Easter Egg which only costs 9.99.

The other tempting Easter Egg was the Belgian Ruby Chocolate Egg for 2.99.

Ruby chocolate is a rare find in the supermarkets, the last time I bought pure ruby chocolate was at Lidl.

McCain Flavour Maker Skin on Fries review - Chimmichurri

When I first heard of McCain's Flavour Maker earlier this year, I was really excited.
Flavour maker flavours launched are: Smokey BBQ, Garlic & Herb Chimichurri and Spicy Chilli Chipotle.
I couldn't wait to get my hands on these flavour maker chimmichurri fries where you sprinkle the flavour on.
A few years ago you could get @createacrisp which were shaking flavour sachets on crisps but they were discontinued before I got my hands on them.
In Asia, Mcdonalds have shake shake fries where you shake your fries in a bag with the seasoning where you can find a similar thing with Asian crisps like JacknJill or calbee.

Anyway I am so glad my favourite chimmichurri is getting its way in ready meals and crisps.
McCain's Flavour Maker is quite similar to their existing shake shake fries but the chips are different and for the Flavour Maker series, the seasoning is more sophisticated to associate with restaurant style flavours.

Finally spotted them at TESCOs for 2.99 so got them without hesitation because these are fries that can be prepared at home so they won't get soft like the deliveries.
Inside, the bag, you get three sachets, instuctions are easy, you just pour out some fries in a bowl then add the seasoning and toss the fries until the seasoning is evenly distrubuted then put it in the oven!
After doing that all that, wouldn't it be simpler just emptying all three sachets in the main bag of fries and shaking it so you have an even distribution of flavour and next time the fries can go straight in the oven.
(In the end I ended up putting the remaining seasoning in the bag and it was much more convenient the next time I wanted them).

When the fries were ready, I really enjoyed them because the flavour really took them to restaurant level, it also makes them look visually like instaworthy restaurant fries too.
The best thing about the flavours is that you won't find them too salty or laced with MSG like Asian flavours.
With Asian flavours, they tend to be too sweet for my palatte even though it is a savoury item.
Overall, I definitely recommend them and if out of all the flavours, I would still choose Chimmchurri.

Ended up mixing the seasoning in the remaining chips and it was so much more convenient.

Moorish chocolate houmous / hummus review

A few years ago I remember seeing posts about chocolate hummus by Houlovesme and Delighted by Hoummous but couldn't get hold of them because of the location.
Finally got the Moorish chocolate houmous which was so decadent.
The taste was interesting yet different to how I imagined.
It was like salted chocolate caramel with a starchy texture.
The houmous goes runny if you spread it on something hot which I believe is to do with the coconut milk but luckily you can't taste the coconut.
Overall definitely worth trying but a bit pricey for for 150g at £1.80.

M&S Marks Spencer Slow Cooked Brisket of Beef with a Red Wine Sauce

I love beef brisket especially when it is slow cooked so got the Marks Spencer Slow Cooked Brisket of Beef with a Red Wine Sauce which comes in a vacuum sealed bag in seasoning.

All you do is just pop it in the microwave for a few minutes and you get lovely succulent soft beef.

I paired the beef brisket with pickled cabbage and it was delicious.
