[Tea Review] Yorkshire Toast and Jam Tea & Malty Biscuit Tea! Get your kettles on!

As well as biscuits taken to the next level, English Tea is also getting a playful twist!
A few years ago we saw Sainsbury's launch the Brussels sprouts tea and the Pigs in Blanket tea for Christmas and then Hot Cross bun tea for Easter.
Now Yorkshire Tea is stirring the headlines with the launch of three new teas next week available at ASDA with BEDTIME BREW, TOAST & JAM as well as BISCUIT!
Analyzing the teas, I was glad the bedtime brew was a good pairing of nutmeg and vanilla rather than chamomile.
I am more excited on the other two because it doesn't really mention what's in them but the Biscuit makes sense to be malty just like Malted milk biscuits and tea.
As for the Toast & Jam it has to be sweet but I'd like to see how they pull it off like the McVities Marmalade on toast digestives.
I would imagine the BEDTIME BREW on the same lines as Masala Chai.
This year has certainly been a fun year with all these products.
Some people might be saying this is going to far but I'd rather see how far it can go!

[Yorkshire Tea Toast & Jam Review]
Tried the new Yorkshire toast and jam tea and loved it.
When you open the sealed bag, there is a lovely strawberry scent.
I tried the teas black and with milk.
BLACK
When you don't ad milk, the tea is like your regular tea with a strawberry aroma that's not too sweet or overpowering.
I like the way its different to other strawberry teas because it is not sour and you can taste the Yorkshire blend.
In a way, I felt that the flavouring was like Monin syrup without the syrup.
WITH MILK + SUGAR
Adding milk and sugar to it made the Toast & Jam tea indulgent and comforting but you have to be careful not to add too much sugar or it will be too sweet in terms of the strawberry.
This tea should have been launched for summer but it's still a nice drink in the afternoon.
As well as regular milk, having it with nut milks such as almond milk gives it another dimension.

[Yorkshire Tea Biscuit Review]
Tried the biscuit tea without milk and sugar and it was another comforting tea.
I had it first thing in the morning and it was like a sweet morning call.
Having it milk and sugar is like dunking biscuits into tea.

[Yorkshire Tea Bedtime Review]
Tried the Bedtime tea without milk and sugar and it just reminded me of Chai Masala because of the nutmeg.
The spices were a little overwhelming for me but this particular tea paired well with a rich chocolate cake.

They also have breakfast tea!

[Review] Beigel Bake at Brick Lane

As well as curries, the salt beef bagel is a famous treat at Brick Lane.
There are two competing with each other and right next to each other.
I go to both all the time but have not really posted about them.
This time I went to Beigel Bake for a salt beef bagel and the lady was really nice to slice it for us.
The salt beef bagel was consistently good as before with meaty beef in the middle balanced by the mustard.
It is best to go when a fresh batch of beef comes out and when it does the beef texture is like Alaskan crab legs with a springy yet soft texture.
The taste and smell was strangely fishy but I wonder if it is because they sell smoked salmon as well but there is a strong mustard kick and they do not butter their beigels like the other shop.
It also depends how they slice the beef ie against the muscle or along the muscle.
Adding some lemon juice to it makes it moreish.
It is hard to say which one is better I always go to both every now and then.

[Review] Sainsbury's Danish Vanilla Crown

So far all the pastries and sweet treats at Sainsburys are good.

This time I got the Sainsbury's Danish Vanilla Crown which was just sweet and boring but after adding some apple sauce it tasted even better.

[Review] Sainsbury's Bramley Apple Lattice

I love Bramley Apples so tried Sainsbury's Bramley Apple Lattice which tasted good as expected with refreshing chunks of apple in the middle.

The lattice was glazed in some sweet sticky glaze which balanced nicely with the apples.
