Asiago DOP Cheese

Tried some Asiago DOP cheese which originates from Italy.

The one I bought was classified as young cheese which was soft.

Its taste was creamy and similar to Dairylea Triangle cheese spread, except it did not have that spreadable texture, it was firmer.
The taste was also quite salty too.
Although it was creamy, it was quite moreish.

McDonalds: Italy

McDonalds in Italy

The mozzarella burger looks so yummy because in the usual McDonalds they just use processed cheese slices.

As well as mozzarella they have pecorino and parmigiano reggiano cheese too!!!!!!!!
Apart from burgers there are quite a few seafood items such as Salmon and prawn salad (salmone e gameberi), fried prawns (gamberi dorati e croccanti), and shake shake fries!!

To wrap it up, there are fine a sweet selection ranging from tarts, donuts, minisweets (muffin, apple cake and chocolate donut), filled croissants and the McFlurry with Baci which looks so chocolatey from the picture!!

Burrata Pugliese “Murgella” cheese

I loved Burrata cheese the moment I found out about it.

Its appearance is similar to a poached egg with a creamy centre.

I have always wanted to try it, but it is very expensive compared to other cheeses.
I finally tried it at an Italian restaurant but it was only a small piece but enough to keep me craving for it.
Anyway, out of the blue, I saw some Burrata at the supermarket and it was quite cheap too.

It was packaged in a mini plastic tub containing brine.
Overall the burrata tasted really nice, the centre was slightly springy and I was hoping for more runny cream in the centre oozing out.
The texture was not as silky as the fresh ones, but good enough if you cant get hold of the fresh ones.

Apart from Burrata, Murgella also do other cheeses, there is a cute piggy one called the SMOKED PIGLET which I would love to get hold of.

De Cecco Gnocchi di Patate

A delicious quick snack that just needs boiling it water for three minutes.
When they float, they are ready to eat.

For me, I like to put cheese and a dash of salt on them.
