New mac and cheese, soups, ramen by Noodlehead

As a fan of Noodlehead, I couldn't wait to get my hands on the mac and cheese which I did today at Tescos.
Sadly I couldn't get my hands on the congee as the two stores I went did not stock it but the range was quite impressive from Tom Yum soup to Laksa noodles.
I got round to trying the oozy cheese however while I was taking my usual food photographs, I found some green stuff inside the pouch before I even opened it.
Batch number: L1DC 41440302

Since it was going to be microwaved, I had to open the bag and confirmed it was clear green plastic which had to be taken out or it may melt along with the macaroni which isn't quite edible.
Apart from the foreign plastic, it was really delicious yet strangely spicy.
I can't wait to get my hands on the congee as I was expecting more Indian inspired noods in the range.
The ramen heads look quite good as the broth is separate from the noodles so you can cook the noodles in a different way and drink the broth.
Overall, the name is quite quirky and gets your attention like soup head, ramen head, pasta head etc.

Zott monte milk dessert with chocolate and hazelnut

I wasn't expecting a white dessert but it turns out there is a layer of chocolate hazelnut on the bottom.
Overall not too sweet and it was delicious.
The texture was a bit like a thick emulsion.

Harrods Valentines Rhubarb rice pudding and rhubarb croissant

Impressive Valentines and Rhubarb range at Harrods.
Spotted so many rhubarb items like rhubarb rice pudding, rhubarb croissants featuring cross-lamination dough and rhubarb vanilla flower so got the rice pudding and croissant to try.
Basically the croissant which looked more like a bun had a lovely crispy top owing to the lamination and inside it was well filled while the rhubarb jam was lovely and tart a bit like rhubarb curd.
You get a butter cutting through a little on the croissant pastry.
Next the Rhubarb rice pudding was a delight to the eyes with that crisp pink rhubarb neatly trimmed to fit the glass ramekin with luscious sweet rice pudding beneath it!

Jingold red flesh kiwis from Tescos

After trying the heavenly red passion variety kiwis from M&S, I decided to try these exotic red dong hong variety from Tesco.
Visually they are nothing like the red passion.
The skin is brown green like a regular kiwi unlike the bright green ones of M&S.
Inside, it was barely red with just a shy pink to be seen.
The taste was sweet but you still had that weird taste from the seeds.
It felt like a red flesh kiwi wannabe with dominate green kiwi genes like an unsuccessful genetic mutation.
I'm lucky I didn't try this first.

Godiva Dubai Chocolate Crispy Kadayif Chocolate Tablet

Every chocolate maker is on the Dubai Chocolate bandwagon and the latest is Lindt and Godiva.Godiva is more accessible as a Londoner but Lindt specific stores are limited to bluewater, bicester etc.
Anyway got my hands on the Godiva Crispy Kadayif Chocolate Tablet one thanks to @squarecrumpets
Not my first Dubai chocolate but I felt that this one contained more chunky crystallized pistachio in ratio to the crispy kunafa strands.
Overall quite sweet.
Interestingly Cadburys have not followed yet but they have done Asian flavours like durian and pandan!!

M&S Treacle Slice by Tom Kerridge

Finally tried something in the range by Tom Kerridge.
It was a treacle slice because I like treacle tarts but it was very different and didn't quite hot the spot for me as a simple treacle tart is more comforting.
Interestingly, the treacle slice tasted like a lemon cheesecake as well as the texture which steals the show from the treacle.
Sorry to say, its good but this is more Waitrose style.
